Anyway, back to the Man Utd support against Chelsea, I was wondering what the chant was that they were singing non-stop the other night and it turns out it was this...

Great chant. Be nice if we could start coming up with stuff like this. We’re going through our best period as a club in my lifetime. These times rarely last when you’re a Blade.

We just don't have a song like that which last for a good 5-10mins or so. We have some good songs but they're all over before the critical mass needed to create good sustained atmosphere have had chance to join in.

Don't think that's the problem. When you think back all the classics that raise the hairs on the back of your neck and a tear to the eye revolve around kicking the living fuck out of the opposition.
Thanks to snowflakes and P fucking C we're reduced to kidney punching. How long since we had a ground rocking "You're gonna get your fucking heads kicked in " ?

Coming into the business end of the season, it's so tense - our fans are so nervous they literally can't speak, let alone sing. Another thing is that everyone keeps looking at their phones instead of the pitch. A third is that people can't get enough beer down them to lose their inhibitions, as it's so difficult to get served at the kop bar.

Yes. I was there. But without the ref I doubt the game's atmosphere would've reach anywhere near the level it eventually did. That's my point. MUFC have an array of these types of songs which feel like they could be sung all game like they did at Chelsea. It made for a great atmosphere even just watching on TV.

The nearest we got was Jack O'Connell is magic which I remember in lg1 was sung at games for ages and was brilliant. That type of song which when you get to the end of it it feels natural to start again and again and again.
