Don't you just love the smile on Billy's face.
Mcgoldrick reaching full fitness . He came here rusty . Looks better every game and is enjoying it and getting that goal scoring habit
And another assist
There has been a difference in recent games where we’ve started winning.
Wilders tactics have always been to start matches at full pelt (as he says “on the front foot”).
It means 1st half we often look impressive having teams penned in their own half defending in numbers.
However we run out of steam 2nd half and tend to concede late goals.
Or maybe the opposition manager works us out at half time, so we’re never so effective 2nd half.
Would love to have an off the record conversation with Wilder.
Away at Reading we seemed to deliberately let Reading have all the initiative 1st half.
Our tactic seemed to be to contain them and not let them score 1st half.
Then 2nd half we played our normal “on the front foot” game and won quite comfortably.
The last 2 games at home to Derby and Blackburn we were fairly cautious 1st half, seemingly conserving some energy.
Then in the 2nd half of both matches we upped our game, upped our tempo, energy levels and desire.
Makes me wonder whether it’s a deliberate tactic from Wilder to pace ourselves so we’re at our best in the 2nd half.
It's a new level for Wilder as well . The good news is he appears to be adapting his tactics to maximise our energy in games . A bit less gung ho and a more well distributed effort. There has been a difference in recent games where we’ve started winning.

This...both wing-backs are putting in 8/10 performances,Flecks back on it,the players have hit a rich vein of form and its lovleh xxIt’s called form. It has always been and will always be in the future. Stop looking for shit that isn’t there.

There's been a clear change in first half approach over the last two games.
Isn’t that was evolving teams do? I am sorry but we were previously bemoaning players being shit and now they aren’t. What do you put that down to? Form?
Not sure I get your jist.
Someone commented that they feel we've adjusted our all out approach from the off, and this has paid dividends in the second half with us looking stronger at the end and less tired. I agree.
Not sure how in form or out of form fits in with that observation.
I think it is. I said yesterday, Blackburn would tire in the second half. They were at it at 100 miles an hour first half. As long as we don't concede, I think It is a system we can use sometimes. There has been a difference in recent games where we’ve started winning.

Big change in style when we went down to 10, less of the wing back stuff and more of a 4-3-2 and getting the ball up top quicker. e.g. second goal a diagonal ball from left back to Billy.
