Ironic that Danny04 selected a photo of Tracey kicking it. The one aspect of his game which was shite. Absolutely quality keeper, but give him a back pass with a striker bearing down on him and his radar automatically went to ‘twat striker” mode

Tracey's kicking was the most accurate out of the Blades keepers I have seen. That was why Wilkinson of Leeds always had a striker near him when Tracey is holding the ball

I remember the heavy defeat on Easter Monday ,Simon clearly rattled kicked a future United cult hero up the tradesmans due to this tactic,I think he got booked,he is my favourite goalie,but I used to say a silent prayer every time he came rushing out of area

I only watched him for the last couple of seasons of his career but I thought he was shite. I'm guessing he was decent when he was younger, but he just seemed to make loads of mistakes.

I remember when we drew with Rushden & Diamonds at home one year in the league cup and one of the goals was totally embarrassing. Doubt there'll be a video anywhere.

Someone tell me that I didn't imagine him being utter shit and us needing a keeper for many years before Kenny turned up, because I was surprised that it took him being injured for us to replace him.

Tracey went to pieces at Elland Road when confronted with that tactic. He hadn’t the brains for a plan B. He was a clown that day.

Can't agree with that. I'd always go for Kelly over Tracey but there wasn't much between them IMO.
