Loved Tracey in his time for us and he was a very good keeper. The occasional moments of madness made him who he was. Pleased he's back in the area and since we also needed a goal keeper coach it would have been great to see Trace come home, but all the best at Chesterfield. It all worked out well with Trace back in the patch and Duke at the Lane.

I'm sure that it was Trace who did a dive impression at Forest away when Jack Lester dived and won a penalty for Forest? Its ironic he's now with Lester at Chesterfield! Seem to recall Trace been in trouble for doing a V sign to the Wednesday fans when we scored at the lane too back in 1991?

I don't know about that but during the 3-1 Bobby Davidson game at the sty there's an amusing moment where Tracy follows a ball out of play at pace and ends up falling into the piggy kop. Some piggy twat tries to throw a punch at him and he gives some back. Next time he took a goal kick there's a shot of him looking back at thousands of the twats on the kop facing them down and grinning from ear to ear. We would have been 1 or 2 up at that point which must have felt magic.

Wish there was a clip of that!

It was his plane celebration running round the Lane End goal just after Whitehouse's opener that landed him into trouble

Looks like Nick Knowels

Nick Knowles as in 'talentless cunt pub-singer murders old songs and brings out record in time to cash in on gullible twats at Christmas'? as do Alexander Armstrong, Bradley Walsh etc? How the fuck did this plank pull Suzie Perry?

The ex-Blade is Chesterfield's new GK coach, replacing Blades-bound former Blade Matt Duke, who replaces former Blade Jamie Annerson who's now with England Women's dev squad. GLTTL.

(I also had this shirt).
My all time favourite keeper.
I remember him pulling off one of the greatest saves I ever saw at Luton one year.
Also a very rare one club professional (not bad for a cockney). Should have played for England.

I agree I loved Tracey when I was a kid, but it's probably a good job he didn't play many more games for teams other than United. In his one league game for Wimbledon before joining he let in 5, he infamously let in 5 in the Manchester derby while on loan at City, and let 5 in for Norwich when on loan there. I think we definitely saw the best of him 😊

He is an absolute gent he came to our house when I was still living at home on New Years day with John Gannon (John's wife (actually girlfriend then) and family were known through my Grandad's friends) as a surprise and gave me a signed pair of gloves. They stayed for about 3 hours, had a game of monopoly, ate a ton of cheese and biscuits. Nice guy.

Were they his own gloves ? Sondico released his special design with suction pads. I used to wear these with ian rush sondico shinpads haha

April 1st 2001. Tracey boots the ball up the Swillsborough pitch. Walker slips. Asaba lays it off. D'Jaffo scores and I get to celebrate my first goal for the Blades against the pigs on my first trip to the Sty. Thanks Trace!

Hi Stegosaurus here

Surprised people are hyping him up so much. He was entirely mediocre. Pressman was much better

He was with us on our rise from the 3rd division to the 1st and won player of the year the season we got promoted to the 1st. Of course people are going to look back at his time with us fondly.

You don't have to ask yourself whether the pigs ever had a better player in the same position everytime you talk about an ex players career with us. Unless of course you are a pig yourself, then it would just be instinct.

No way was Pressman better than Tracey, Pressman had more gaffs in him then Bernard Manning the fact that he was a local lad playing for a team with an expensive defence (doing well) but when the Pigs form and money went he was just a mediocre gk.

I honestly cant remember it was a long time ago. I think it might have been they were red. They were signed on the index finger on the white bit. They were in a bag and I never took them out. No idea where they are might be in my Mum and Dad's loft which is like the TARDIS and crammed with stuff.
