It's great when O'Connell overlaps Stevens down the left, but if Henderson then ran the full length of the pitch to overlap O'Connell it would be even more entertaining. We could be left exposed a bit at the back I suppose, but maybe the brief there is one for McBurnie, just instruct him that when he sees Henderson overlapping O'Connell, he should run straight back towards his own goal, that would work! And watching United would be like watching someone shuffle dominoes!

You are right: I was far too generous. Hope Verrips is a lot better, I have an awful feeling we might be finding out in August.

Yep, you are right, but there wasn't a lot in in when Blackman was here. I remember Blackman lost his spot for a while (after injury at QPR?) and Moore kept the shirt for a while after Jamal recovered, but lost it eventually. Neither were as agile or as sharp as Hendo, but both decent keepers - and far better that those we have had in recent memory.

The short cameo against Flyde , Verrips was brave as a Lion , only a collision with his own defender did him . May be worth playing him against Reading ,to get him used to the Defence .

What do we know about Verrips, not a lot, but he's played regular football last season, won stuff, is highly regarded, and has massive hands.

We know all about Moore but a lot isn't that great.

We'll see. If Verrips gets the nod v Man U then I can't see Moore wanting to hang around as no.3 keeper. Personally I'd play Moore as Verrips is an unknown quantity, but of course CWAK have seen him in training will make the final call.

I thought Moore was to blame for one of the goals v Man U at the Lane, certainly not all three as some are implying. He also made some decent saves.
