Some reports of Simon Francis going on loan to Grimsby!

Ross and Forte look like they are extending their loans at Boston and Donny.

Yep expect fireworks from Sharpy!

This better now be fucking serious! Im not messing if he goes i will blow my top....no not like that you dirty gits.

For those people saying he isnt good enough surley this shows he is, if leeds want him he must have something. Warnock give the lad a chance and stop messing with him. He is a top talent and we dont want him to go anywhere.

if he goes - he goes. He's illness prone which has limited his chances in the past when he got a game or two.

Agreed francis is totally worth a shot in our 1st team but he seems to have been cast aside with the likes of shaw and beckett. Never really been given a proper chance but like most players we discard will go on to do well with us or without us.

lol at beckett being cast aside - he was thrown overboard thank god.

Illness prone? He's been ill once! and it was a big illness called glanduler fever. It takes months to get over, you cant get rid of sombody just because theve been ill. He should be given a chance.

if he wasn't going to be given a chance he wouldn't still be on the books. The problem is at the moment we can't risk giving him a try. I recon a good pre-season and he could be well in the running for a first team place next season.

He just hasn't lived up to his early promise so far. Hope he does :)

Like i said in another thread, if we go up the youth team should be given a chance, Francis definatley.

Exactly, i mean lets face it we will proberly come straight back down again so theres no point in spending lots of money.

We shouldn't spend extravagantly, but we should spend what is a 'fair price' and what we can afford to lose if we go down.

My point....don't do a ******day and spend loads/high wages which they can't afford! they still haven't recovered..... spend a bit, enjoy the season, if we stay up, FANTASTIC! we'll build from there (with our Russian investor;))

Who says we can't stay up with the current squad + 2/3 more top quality players

btw sharpy i've had glandular fever so i know what it does.lol

Nice and positive then!

I think if we singed s couple of decent players maybe not quite do a wigan but you never know don't think we would go straight back down depends on signings

oh you poor sod, its not nice my bro had it for a long time.

With the squad we have i dont think theres any need to go out and spend lots of money, look and WH and wigan, theve got pretty much the same teams as what they got promoted with and there doing great. Next year IF we go up id definetly like to see francis and the lad S.Quinn in the first team. Maybe quinny is going to do the monty role......but with passing :p

This kid defo has the potential, I'd like us to keep him until nxt season. If we go up, he will be trying his damn hardest along with the rest of the squad to prove themselves.

I wouldn't like to see him out now.

No chance of that went to watch rotherham he is really like his brother in the way he plays so doubt he would be able to hold in midfield!

some really good reviews from rovrum fans about s.quinn.

"Best performance by a midfield player seen at rovrum for years"

"one of the best midfielders in the lower leagues"

They were raving about Squinny (like it?) in the Star the other day. Ridiculously hungry for the ball, full of beans. The difference between players like him and his bro, and players like Montgomery is purely natural talent. Can't see Squinn relieving Monty of his duty any time soon unless that natural talent is nurtured and honed, but could offer an alternative in the future depending on the opposition.

Francis is the perfect player to get a chance at this moment int time especially now with all the injurys in defence.

For those earlier in this thread saying we'll probably come straight back down if we go up - not so sure about that meself. McCabe et al have been planning for a while now about what to do if we go up, we're raising plenty of money on the Stock Market, after waiting for so long to go up I think we'll give it a pretty good shot at staying there.

I would have agreed but Collins had a good game is plenty good enough for us at the moment.

Why does everything have to turn into a dig at Monty? I don't know if you recall, but when Monty first broke into the side he was doing a very similar thing to S Quinn, and getting rave reviews. His role has changed, he's not lost what he once had, just plays a different game.

Chill man, it wasn't a dig at Monty, merely an observation. Jesus.

And Foxy, if you can't recognise that there is a difference between the natural footballing talent of the Quinns and Nick Montgomery, you don't know football.

I'm not saying "drop Monty" or "Monty out" am I?
