We don't need anymore strikers, that position is fine. (I know you all think we do)
We need to work on the defence.

Firstly, because after this season we don't have a RB.

Secondly, is a CB gets injured we play a LB or RB out of position, and I think Saturday prove this doesn't work

Thirdly, we need a CB as I wouldn't be shocked if we lost Harry.

RB to buy:

Brayford
Stephen Darby
Brendan Moloney
Nedum Onuoha
luke ayling
Sam Hutchinson

CB
Andy Considine (solid defender and strong)
the return of Kyle Bartley
Aden Flint

We don't need any more strikers??

We have only 4 strikers on the books (Porter, Paynter, Baxter and Miller) who have amounted 11 goals between them in the league all season and you think that is fine? You're off your head man!

A striker is the NUMBER ONE priority. We are also just off the back of an 8 game run where we didn't concede a goal, so I would suggest our defence ain't too bad!

NB Nedum Onouaha is on 60k a week. MEGA LOLZ.

well you can't just play a small guy like baxter by himself up front

porter does everything right he just needs help

So what you do is the crouch defoe tactic.

Pass to porter who then lays it of to baxter who then scores. That is what Baxter did at Oldham fc, and that seemed to work.

Lets go back to 4-4-2

Porter does everything right? He's scored 5 league goals all season. If you want promotion, that is simply nowhere near good enough. There is only one team in the WHOLE DIVISION that has scored less than us (Crawley) and that's only because they have played less games. We are the lowest scorers in the division, so how you can think we would get promoted on that is absolute madness to me. Seriously, I thought that was the one issue we absolutely agreed on as a fan base.

I thought the defence held up well considering, but if the strikers had actually done the job yesterday the defence wouldn't be under so much pressure.

I agree we need better depth in defence, as a few injuries or suspensions and we have to start playing people out of position, but we should have won the game comfortably against Swindon with the chances we had, and this emphasises our need for a striker, not a defender.

Im sure Nigel planned just to be safe initially and wanted just to bolster the squad enough in the JTW to achieve safety , then plan properly for next season, However players who had it in them but had lost their mojo , slowly found their mojos enough to just about plunder a play off spot from nowhere, and conjure up a cup miracle.

Its frustrating that had we found a 20 a season striker for peanuts we might be more clinical now, but the only aim when he came was not to become a league 2 club, avoided now before Easter, and a trip to Wembley as icing on the cake

A full summer of Clough laid plans is something to savour on what he has done so far

We 100% don't need a striker......we need at least 2! Porter playing upfront with anybody wont score goals (even when he played with an in-from Evans he still didn't score) Baxter also isn't a prolific goal scorer, he is an attacking midfielder who can play the false 9 role. Paynter is a loanee, Miller doesn't look like he is going to return to his best anytime soon! Even at his best I would argue he still isn't a player that will guide a team to promotion. We are the 5th lowest scorers in the league and have the 6th best defence record in the league!

We have a great structure with no end product and that's shown with the statistics above! I would love to see Brayford signed permanently, if I had the choice of Brayford or a quality goal scorer I would go for a goal scorer everytime we could bring in Freeman who would be the cheaper option.

Porter is just simply not good enough or got the nouse to be in goalscoring positions where as miller on the other hand has.The amount of times we put the ball to porter against swindon whether it would be a cross or a pass he was a foot away from it nearly all of the time,i mean come on a man of that size.
Crouch and defoe tactic!! We havent got a defoe never mind a crouch

Said it before, a proven striker is absolute priority

Only my opinion, but a team serious about gaining promotion doesn't have CP playing at number 9

We all know he's got us a few important goals, but for every one he scores he misses 5 sitters

He's simply not a natural goal scorer and that imo is what we lack

Yes, there's work to be done in other positions, but if we don't score goals we don't get promoted

we will make do with what we have until October.

3/4 weeks later, Ched will make his 2nd debut for the Blades.

Cost nowt, score plenty at this level.

He knows that he owes the club/fans/management and as long as Clough will have Ched then it will happen.

Ched and Miller - aka Deane and Agana = 60+ goals

If we're including Taylor then we have 4 proper, senior, strikers on the books; and they're all either not good enough or out of contract (to be honest probably both of those in the case of at least 3 of them). Porter might be worth keeping around as a squad player and there's a slim chance that there might still be something in Taylor but Paynter has shown very little and we can't just keep waiting around for Miller to get back to fitness. We are incredibly short up front and providing Porter sticks around/the others go then we need a bare minimum of 2 proven strikers in the summer, maybe even more. Strikers are absolutely the priority, closely followed by a right-back seen as Westlake is our only not-on-loan player who can play there now McMahon has gone (ideally Brayford will be signed permanently).

We're pretty good in all other areas, maybe a new goalkeeper wouldn't go amiss as I don't think Long is good enough and I'm still not completely sold on Howard, but they should both just about suffice for a promotion push. Coady, Freeman and Davies would also be nice permanent additions as would another CB to play alongside Harry, but as I've already said the players we currently have in these positions will suffice and these are more 'luxury' additions rather than necessities.

Do you play FIFA or FM ??

Brayford - no chance unless were promoted.
Darby - semi realistic target although do Bradford need to sell? The have money from Wells.
Maloney - no idea how good he is although Bristol are shit.
Onouha - is this a joke? Who will pay his £50k salary?
Ayling - why would Yeovil sell? Why would he leave? Especially if they stay up.
Hutchinson - no chance. Clearly a championship player or lower premiership.

Considine - don't know him but why kit, he's Scottish
Flint - well under contract having only signed this year
Bartley - see Hutchinson.

paynter scoring 15 for Donny only last season.... what happened??

it was only last year, so shows he can still do it at this level.

it must be that strange phenomena we see with most strikers that come to play for us....they put the red and white on and turn instantly sh*t

Yes I do play Fifa as I'm a teenage boy. However, I can 100% promise you that this is not based on that, and I'm sorry I didn't know the Onouha wage

it's not all about scoring goals. It's all about creating them
