Play-offs done and dusted by tomorrow, so knowing how quickly Chris likes to get his work done i think we could expect some transfer action this week.

Reel em in Chris!

Premiership haven’t done there retained list yet. Would imagine most would wait. Also the footballers are all on holiday. Would expect something week after.

Can we sign 2 or 3 players now from the team that will unexpectedly impress at the World Cup and are currently worth 2/10’s of fuck all? Answers on a postcard as to who that team will be. We could even sell them again before the season as they normally turn out shit when people buy them.

Quality over quantity this time around to take us to the next level (hopefully)

One defender and two strikers for me

Easy init :)

bollox forgot a GK :D

Considering we don’t sign foreigners, don’t expect any of the Japanese players rocking up any time soon.

And we won’t be signing any England players.

But I understand your point entirely. There’s been a few over the years. James Rodriguez being the last one I can remember.

I'm presuming that the delay in setting a budget will mean a delay in bringing people in.

Cant see us signing anyone yet,Wilder will do his observation work in Russia and then get those quality signings we need when the WC closes.

For me, it’s the back 5 which needs the most work. Blackman for another year on loan, a big upgrade at LWB, and some experience at centre half - potentially 2 more. We need leaders back there, we were too soft last season. How many games did we dominate and not see out. I like Basham, great character but I’m not sure he’s good / smart enough in the big games / moments.

I think we’re covered in midfield, need those guys to maintain last seasons levels though and improve their goal returns. Would be great if Ricky Holmes and David Brooks improve and give us what we need.

Up top. Hard, because we can’t afford to buy proven quality in this area. A couple of educated gambles is all we can hope for whilst banking on Clarke and Sharp to give us similar returns (may be unlikely given their age).

The squad will be much better for the experience they garnered last season. I can see Baldock, O’Connell, Fleck, Coutts, Duffy etc. all kicking on again.

Maybe cast an eye over that Egyptian team, you never know.

Abdullah will already have 6 Saudis as done deals before it starts. They’ll beat Egypt, the result won’t be allowed to go any other way.

CONFIRMED!!!

FUCK ALL'S HAPPENED!!

For me GK position needs addressing as I don’t believe Moore is good enough to be a top end championship goalkeeper.

The only position I’m not fussed about is RWB as we have two of the best in the league now Fredericks is now a Premier League player.

Centre half needs improving big time. Ideally 2 centre halfs with a bit of pace but more importantly physicality. I do like Basham and think he’s been a great servant to us for the majority of his stay but lacks that concentration when it really matters. Stearman is another good player but he is far too soft for me. Don’t think I really need to mention JOC as he is absolutely fantastic and is one of the best in the league.

Left wing back looks very worrying as Daniel Lafferty struggled in League One and has very rarely featured this season even though Enda Stevens has been absolutely abysmal all season which tells you all you need to know.

Central midfield were pretty well stacked with 4 good ball playing midfielders but I feel we lack that physicality in midfield so a big hard fucker may be an astute signing.

Attacking midfield I feel we may need to upgrade in that department as Duffy isn’t getting any younger and can’t play every minute for 2 games in a row. Brooks isn’t a player who id rely on in that position as he lacks a work ethic to track back. Ricky Holmes will most likely be off with Samir

Strike force - major work needs to be done here to try and get anywhere near the positions we did last season. Ideally 3 signing to add pace, height, power.
