Rumoured to be interested in him according to Sky. Could be a good move. Scored 25 goals for a team that's been relegated. ALthough Charlton could scupper our chances.

Sky Sports understands Charlton, Sheffield United and Preston are chasing Wycombe striker Stuart Beavon.

Beavon has been Wycombe's shining light this season, scoring 25 goals for the Chairboys in League One.
Wycombe face a major fight to keep hold of their star forward now their relegation to League Two has been confirmed.
Championship-bound Charlton are thought to be admirers of Beavon as they look to bolster their squad, while Sheffield United are also in the market for striking reinforcements next season.
Preston boss Graham Westley is believed to be keen on winning the race to land Beavon as he looks to rebuild the squad at Deepdale after a disappointing campaign.

I hope so, a very good player in my opinion. Could easily play at championship level and considering Cheds predicament it wouldnt be a bad shout.

Or will he want to join the massive and put in a below par performance satdi cos he wants to play for them in the Champ?

When I've seen his name in the media this season I've been thinking "surely Stuart Beavon has retired by now? And isn't he a midfielder?"

It turns out this is Stuart Beavon jr and I was thinking of his Dad. Wow, I'm getting old.

I'm not sure on this guy, don't really know much about him if i'm honest. All i know is his appearance to goals ratio isn't great

Someone on twitter as said that the deal for Stuart beavon will be signed and sealed by Thursday.

well he
Lets hope so and lets hope his last seasons goal tally can be bettered

Well he claims hes heard it from 7 differant sources so id say its looking good

The strange thing is ive heard Wycombe have lined up james beattie as his replacement if he does come to us

I'm happy for us to be signing Beavon depending on the fee. 25 in 45 this season is great in a relegated side but I think we might be able to get him reasonably cheap.

I do hope we're bringing in a younger, pacey striker aswell, as we'll have strikers that are all nearer 30 than 20.

I hear what people are saying regarding his goals to games ratio. But, he is now a proven scorer in the division we are in. Evans was shite until last season.

Ched Evans 1st season for us: 1 in 9 ratio
2nd season: 1 in 4
last season: 1 in 1.2

Stuart Beavon
1st season for Wycombe: 1 in 9.3
2nd season: 1 in 8.4
Last season 1 in 1.8

Overall: 1 in 3.5

No further questions your honour

Thanks for the link, '58. I see our old friend Len is still bringing a ray of sunshine to proceedings!

Blimey, a sign of the times when a 28-year-old bloke who's scored 20 odd goals in 100 odd games for Wycombe is seen as some kind of saviour.
Might be a half decent signing but hardly any need for the cartwheels.

Sounds like quite a sensible comment to me.

Mate who supports Wycombe reckons it is a done deal. Says he'll be top scorer next season if true...he's obviously not watched us much!

Pretty much any striker we bring in is going to be favourite for top scorer: Cresswell and Porter might get 15 between them.

We will need some songs that can be altered to suit - replacing Heaven with Beavon
Anyone got any suggestions?

Neither "I'm in Beavon" or "Thank Beavon for Little Girls" seem appropriate, really
