This is generally our style of play and the ball MUST be inside the box before we take a shot (hence the lack of shots, because we don't get the ball into the box enough). It took until the 90th minute last night before their keeper had to do anything.

Looking at the two sides last night, you wouldn't say Burton were top, we could of won the game has we not made every pass a sideways/backwards pass, not sure if its the tactics told to the players, or the players reluctance to take risks.

I heard fans last night saying fans need to be patient with us, but we're almost at the end of the season, how much more patience do we need to have? We've played the same style all season, and its not been working.

But when it does get played forward there's never a hope in hell of anything happening. They just miscontrol it, get tackled or fall over. They don't support each other, they don't have any sort of understanding. The lack of actual pace and ability is frightening. Not once do they surprise you. Not once do they hold onto the ball under pressure, get to a ball they're not favourite to get to, take a man on. Not one player is capable of opening the game up. No one even has the drive, so no wonder it goes backwards and sideways 90% of the time. You can also tell they get no effective coaching when it comes to possession, playing through the opposition and creating positive situations. Total, total garbage and it's very demoralising to watch.

Your complaint would make sense if that's what we were doing yesterday. We weren't finding our own players with passes yesterday, no matter who made them.
