Shows how far we have come

I’d also say that if we were tiring today (not watched the game) is it because we put in enough to win the other two?

Two wins and a defeat is better than one win and two draws. I like this go out to win each game and no draws business.

We are going to come up more and more against teams who can't match us technically so will sit back and let us have all the possession like Forest did today and Norwich did a few weeks back. We handled this well last season but we are up against better sides now so really need to take our chances when they come

That's why we need Billy back to full fitness, If anyone is going to take a chance it will he him.

Three games in six days is always going to take it's toll, especially considering the opposition we've had.

Daft mistakes cost us the goals. Sounded very much on the radio like it was just going to be one of those days. After having a great time last Sunday and Wednesday, I'm really not too disheartened losing today.

We'll be back with a bang and unless the pigs can pull off a shocker against dirty Leeds, we'll go into the international break in 4th place. That's a reyt start no matter how you look at it.

Spot on assessment!!. I think today was just one of those days!. 3 games in 6 days has taken its toll!. I'm happy with the start we've made and I'm sure we'll be fine for the rest of the season!!. I M O. In wilder we trust. Utb

Shame after going a goal up so early. Nice for Lundstram to get off the mark with a well taken goal. Was a bad miscontrol by Fleck for their first and poor marking for the second. Unlucky not to equalise, goal disallowed but did look offside and then CCV hit the inside of the post in injury time. Disappointing defeat but couldn't be happier overall. 4th if L**ds beat our neighbours, I'd take that.

Probably a lack of intelligence on your part

Well, only one of us wants our most hated team to win so another team don't push us down from 3rd to 4th after 11 games of the season. And you question my intelligence (although admittedly, it's hard to ever want Leeds to win.). I'll settle for a 0-0 draw with both having 3 players sent off and injuries aplenty.

Just one game too far this week I think. Didn't deserve to lose but lacked that bit of energy that we've had of late. We won't have a tougher week than the one we have just had this season and we've picked up 6 points.
Not too much lost. Better to beat the two teams we did this week and lose to Forest. Only Wolves took a three point advantage.

To be honest, 7 days go if you had told me we would draw all three of these matches, I wouldn't have been too disappointed. So to my mind six points is pretty good going from three fixtures against those sides in just 6 days.

On another note, when was the last time we lost after scoring first? I can't remember it happening last season and until today it hadn't happened this season.

One thing that we seem to find difficult at the moment is scoring when we've gone behind. We haven't managed to do it yet this season, unless you count the perfectly good goal we had chalked off at Middlesbrough!

My point, as Nigel got, was a subtle dig at Wednesday.

Obviously too nuanced for you:p

Definitely. If the top 6 is genuinely realistic then Forest won't be a contender but Wolves and probably Wednesday will be. Still be happy with mid table but when you see what we have done so far you never know.

Would anyone be unhappy if we slipped to fourth tomorrow? I don't think I would tbh.

Yes, excellent record of not losing after scoring first. The last time we lost a league game after scoring first was 24 November 2015,when we lost 4-2 at home to Shrewsbury.

We did lose to Crewe early last season in the League Cup after scoring first. Their winner was in extra time.

Been to the Lane today for beamback.
First 25 minutes was the most sublime football I have seen United play. We were tearing Forest to bits at will, bloody wonderful to watch, we were unplayable.
Two bad mistakes for their goals, really sloppy for both, and I’m not sure we would have conceded second goal if Jake had been on the pitch.
As the thread stated, it does show how far we have come. Happy Blade.

Thinking has got to different though, two wins and one loss is 6 pts not a meek 3.

Not if it meant them bastards getting another hiding ,and dropping even further.
I don't normally get involved in the name calling, but the arrogance and shit they've come out with this season has made me retaliate in kind, I wish em nowt but heavy ,humiliating and unlucky defeats...
