Was an appointment I felt was 20% likely to be a stroke of genius and 80% a disaster. Looking more like 5% / 95% now.

Nonetheless, I think 10-12 games is the point at which you make the decision. Enough games to implement his ‘plan’ and see what ‘style’ he has brought in.

Hence my vote for ‘not now’

Very early days to suggest sacking him and Selles does come across as a very likeable guy .

However , nothing in the the first four games suggests he can turn this around .

Devoid of any kind of structure , tactically inept. The job genuinely seems to big for him.

The problem is , if not him then who ? I’d like Cooper but would doubt that he would even consider it.

Only one way out of this "situation" (Selles speak) already sick of hearing him say that word, its as bad as hearing Adkins saying "we are well aware"

Anyway the way out is for Selles to get moved on pronto its only going to get worse.

Was 100% going to fail. No rookie has ever been a success at this club. Only experienced managers have achieved promotion.

It does seem Selles is out of his depth, sadly. I think I if we lost the next he may well be sacked regardless. It's the performances that are the most concerning.

Selles has to play Gamer in a front three behind the one striker and have O'Hare off the bench in my view because Gamer, our best player by a mile, looks lost at the minute.

No yet, but logic suggests he has not got many games to turn this around. He needs to get something from the next 2, even just a draw with better performances. That may not be enough, but at least it would show that the players are buying into his methods.

And onto them, I hope some of them are ashamed with the 'performances' they have put in so far. Faces like a slapped arse United FC at the moment.

Still don’t understand the appointment. We sack a bloke that would have more than likely mirrored last season if not gone one better and then employ someone who’s done, well nothing. I wouldn’t class avoiding relegation with Hull a success either. This lot is so Utd.

Not yet.

And, if we do, we might find that good managers aren't particularly interested in replacing him. I think the consensus around football was that Wilder was unlucky to lose his job. If Selles only gets 4 games, these owners are going to get a reputation as being ones to avoid.
So far they’ve made one tragically bad decision - the best thing they could to improve their “reputation” is to reverse it.
Leaving it another week or two would be crazy - we’ll just have 2 more defeats and even less confidence.

Rephrase the question as "should we spend millions of pounds to see if a new head coach can get something different out of the players"
