I am with you on this SC. I have been vocal in my criticism of Adams, but cannot see the point in sacking him..
Just a few questions on this comment if you don't mind answering them sir. or anyone else if they would like.
1, Do you think Micky adams is doing a good job? (if your answer is NO go to question 2, if your answer if YES questions over)
2, Do you think he is the right man to take us forward? (if your answer is NO go to question 3, if your answer if YES questions over)
3, Do you think we will be relegated? (if your answer is YES go to question 4, if your answer if NO questions over)
4, Do you think sacking Micky adams now would make our end of season finish any different? (if your answer if NO go to question 5, if your answer if YES questions over)
5, If you have made if this far then, Why not sack him now????
We would have to pay him off for starters. There is a chance that he might walk once we are officially relegated. Also when we are confirmed down there is more of a lever to push him out (if necessary). By this I mean 'you've failed .... I don't think you can take us forward', then negotiation and a 'mutual consent' departure. We are unlikely to bring anyone in before the end of the season as well. I suppose Pembo could take it, but he has other things on his mind (and we are not sure if he wants it either). It looks bad on the club that we have had 4 managers already and to sack another would not shed us in good light. Like I said, I think irt makes little sense to sack him at this very moment.
Why not sack him now????
As Olle said, you have to take finances and practicality into account. It's far too late in the season to make a serious appointment now and anyone coming in would not be able to turn things around before we are confirmed as relegated. He's at the start of a two and a half year contract and isnt going to quit at this present moment (doesnt look likely anyway).
Its alright saying "sack him now" dp but who would you bring in to replace him? Who is really out there at the moment that would a) want it and b) do a better job. Under the current circumstances we would have to give him a big payout and to top it, we would be looking at a 5th man in charge in one season - how pathetic that would look. To me it would just be cutting off your nose to spite your face.
This sort of knee-jerk attitude from directors and supporters alike has cost us this season.
Did you answer the questions i put to olle?? So are you saying adams should stay in charge?
sacking him now will cost as much as doing it in May
So why not try and finish the season with say pembo in charge bring in a few kids and try and spoil someones season?? It is not a knee jerk attitude adams record is a disgrace simple as that his signings are worse than bad and he will be the man to bring new players in to get us back??
I can not work out why anyone wants him in charge for another game.
