Teams further down the league, coming to Bramall Lane to set their stall out to come away having ground out a point, and possibly getting lucky and having a smash and grab win.

It's all well and good saying we need to be prepared for it, but the other established teams from higher up the food chain have all suffered with it as well, Leeds, Forest and Wednesday especially.

It is like some people come to Bramall Lane expecting to win 5 or 6 nil every week.

Lucky? They had 4 or 5 clear cut chances

I expect a performance especially when Danny is bigging is up on sky sports before the game

Rubbish Brownie. Almost as rubbish as United were tonight. This evening I saw a team devoid of creativity and awareness and lacking the ability to string half a dozen meaningful passes together. There was no discernible shape to the formation, there were no apparent tactics that I could make out apart from hit it long and hope someone gets on the end of it. Fucking hell, the first time we properly tested their keeper was in the 75th minute or so. It was absolute garbage from them from minute one to minute 93.

I don't expect us to win 5 or 6 nil every week but neither do I expect us to play like Firth Park WMC in the Imperial Sunday League. I described the performance as 'wank' on the way out of the ground but actually, that would be over hyping it somewhat. At least you get some pleasure from a wank.

i dont' understand the formation or tactics.. especially when poleon went off. we had no pace or shape.. it was a full on panic and hoof it job.. thing is.. if we can go to the top team in the league and the players are up for that .. yet can't perform against the lower teams then it is down to the manager IMO

look at any team that goes up they dont win every home game, they draw some they lose some, yes its not nice being held , or being lack lustre occasionally , but look at every promoted team in history doubt many won all 23 home games , or even come close.
Swansea won div 1 title on the way up , lost 5 and drew 5 of their home games

I wonder how many teams were promoted, or in the chase, with such a large percentage of the fans so bored to tears with what's on show.

If we're promoted we can all put it down to the experience. If we aren't, you have to wonder what's the point of it all.

UTB

ask charlton , we murdered them in both games yet they dulled 6 points off us

when weve been promoted before weve been dire in many games , under basset some games we were absolute shite but won , thats football
were we wonderful the year we went up to the prem , possibly in 10 games
