Obviously we should, but a potential world class player like that is going to cost big bucks. Saying that on sher potential alone i think anything under 6 million is a steal

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I think most of us on here are worth at least 2.5mil then.

Well if you think Stokes is worth 6 million then Beattie has got to be worth 20million and not a penny less!

Obviously we should...

Without getting all excited with hyperbole like "world class player"... why should we?

And while we're at it... I'll guess at cousin.

Ok, you're getting boring now

Ive read the majority of Usernames posts, and generally as a rule i dissagree with most of what is said. But on this occasion i agree completely, This is getting very very boring.

My personal opinion is i havent got the first clue why we have loaned him, and by that same account cant believe that he is getting games. My only theory on this is simply that he has played out on the left before.

As far as signing him, the comment "Obviously we should" is at best laughable. and as for the £6m valuation, as others have pointed out this would put the value up of the rest of the squad.

As a side issue, and taking into account another thread in this section, if blackwell feels the need to play a left sided midfielder, then Carney is by far the better option IMO. With a good run of ga,es i believe that he could come good.

Lastly, I see your cousin Linz....................and raise you a Brother!!!!!!

Damn you, Damn you all to HECK!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunderland don't even want him back!

If his deal ends with us soon, or has ended then expect him to feature for a different championship club for the rest of the season.

His deal ends in January 2010. He would then become a lucrative free agent where the likes of Real Madrid and AC Milan would most likely come sniffing

you my friend are dillusional

Not totally true, both Real and AC are currently 2nd rate clubs who can't compete with the better teams. That's pretty much what Stokes is like.

Look at what your saying. He cant get in a crap Championship side. Yet Real would be sniffing around?
Its obvious to everyone that you know Stokes in some shape or form. stop making an 'Arse' out of yourself!

Biggest influence

My dad, without a doubt. He's been there for me since I first started playing at five or six, pushing me and guiding me. He still helps me train today, and he also acts as my agent.

EDIT...

I think I'd settle for £8k a week... the money-grabbing little arse. Can't love 'em that bloody much:

"Anthony didn't sleep the night after learning that Celtic had an offer accepted [last week]. We thought it was a done deal," the player's father and advisor, John, said on Sunday. "He loves Celtic and was prepared to accept less money to play for them. When he gets up in the morning he listens to Celtic songs and by the time he goes to bed at night he's watched Celtic videos."

Yet there was only so much less money he was willing to accept. It is understood Celtic offered a deal worth " only" £8,000 a week. So Celtic lost out, as did Charlton, whom Stokes had decided to join (on £14,000 a week) before Keane, his hero, made a last-minute intervention.
