Our lass has no idea and thinks it’s 3pm kick off. So I came out at 12 as normal. She won’t be happy. But she is a Wendy bastard so she never is
Nowt to do with being a Wendy that Ainsley,
Our lass doesn't like footie at all and it doesn't stop her :(

Pressure was on that day when I heard that Wednesday had won at Brentford. Made the Stevenage game a must-win. Which of course we didn't.

Another Saturday tea time kick off with a better outcome was the Arsenal game New Year
The last one was against Stevenage I think. The 2-2 draw after Ched got sent down.
in 2006. Christian Nade.

Jag's screamer vs Migglesbro in the Premier. Me n t lad just setting off.

That was when I realised we were done for

Yeah pigs had a home game left against an already relegated team and were a point ahead, it was all over bar the shouting and with no strikers we knew we weren’t winning the play offs.

Robbed of a promotion by the bent jury in Wales.

I remember a Saturday evening kick off 3-3 draw against West Ham in 2004 before the days we officially hated them. We were losing 3-1 with Stephen Bywater wasting copious amount of time. It was very satisfying seeing him let in a last minute equaliser in front of the Kop.
I also remember a Saturday evening game for one of our few happy away days in our last season in the Premier League, a 1-0 win at Newcastle.

Didn't Dane white house score a score her that game and the Newcastle game was bonfire night I could see the fireworks going off all around Newcastle from up in the gods

Yes one of the better Bonfire Nights! Whitehouse had retired by 2004.

Deano scored for them.

Not a fan especially a freezing night in November! Also closing roads on a Saturday night is a popular pastime with parts of the A1 and A14 shut meaning we didn't get home until after midnight

Think I'm in the minority that prefer late kick-offs.
I realise that they can be a pain for some people, but the atmosphere always seems to be a lot better.
Although this is likely down to the fact that people have spent an extra hour or 2 in the pub...

Thought the atmosphere on the Kop on Saturday was brilliant.
Duffys song got a good 5-10 minute blast.
And "Leons on fire" nearly got going a couple of times, just need to get everyone in time... :)
