2,000 shirts isn't many at all. I hope they have some left when I get there.

We'll be down at the lane shortly. Should hopefully be able to upload a quick photo before we are back with proper ones after the legends match.

I didnt like the home shirt but liked the away shirt, but now i seen that logo.... nasty nasty nasty don't think I will be buying either of them. However, it might grow on me.

it is visit malta.

A groundbreaking sponsorship deal will mean Sheffield United will be backed by a country next season.

The Championship club, which owns or has partnerships with a family of international football clubs, will be sponsored by the Mediterranean island of Malta.

The lucrative deal will see:

The Blades wearing the visitMalta.com logo on their playing strip

Significant Malta tourism branding at the club's Bramall Lane stadium

United managing an academy for emerging young players capable of playing for the national team of the island

United overseeing the development of a community programme for the island's youngsters.

That is horrible. It looks like it was rushed. I saw the red and white logo a few days ago and thought "that could fit in nicely" but no. It looks like masking tape and marker pen.

here we are! a quick shot of the sponsor...

That's actually far nicer than I thought it was going to be. Were there many people queuing? Do you think there will be any left before the match tonight?

Thanks for the pic, Foxy!

A prize for the first photo of someone (has to be of whoever posts the picture not just a random person) in the new shirt on holiday in Malta! :)

if you aren't too late down there will be some left. was quite a queue but not 2000.

were just sat outside man fridays with linz trying not to get curry on the shirt.

Got my new shirt tonight :D
not sure if i like the sponsor's name on the front, it doesn't look too bad in the photo just when you see it for real. Suppose it will grow on me like the others did :)

will post a video of the "launch" and more pics tomorrow. Still not sure about the new home shirt, they usually grow on me though.

The one thing I do like about the new sponsor, is that its quite understated on the shirts.

I didn't like the home shirts to begin with so probably won't get one.... unless they're on sale at a tenner at end of season :D

Having see Linz in her spanking new kit, to me it looked like a fake kit.

Anyways, the black one looks to be ruined now ;)

Ah well, will still get the away one

VISIT MALTA.COM(get a grip)

They best be putting a hell of alot of money into the club.

What is the problem with it? on the basis of what they say, sounds like a very good linkup.

I had heard that Capital One were really wanting to continue to be sponsors and had made a very good offer, but we turned them down in favour of this one.

I'd heard before Christmas that Cap One wouldn't be sponsoring us this season from someone who works quite high up there (not a window cleaner ;)).

Bah, tell him to ask his work mate why he's telling people otherwise pretending to be in the know then :D

Her ;)

I'm not sure though whether the club had already decided not to go with Cap One at that point.

Apparently, Desun paid us £100,000 to have their names on our shirts and Visit Malta are paying £350,000.

Desun was about 5 years since though, and also at a times when we weren't as high profile as we are now.

Why negative? We should rejoice in one of two truths; 350% growth in 5 years or that we can negotiate deals worth 350% more.

Either way, the business folk at Bramall Lane deserve a massive pat on the back.

Not really negative, was just expecting it to be higher. But then again, I didn't envisage sucha low figure from Desun
