Good game, a great derby i think!

Still cant get that double over us!

Agree with linz better result for us

voted killa, made some great challanges.

most of the team were poor.

cotterill has a stormer one week then a mare then next!

quite abit of trouble on the terraces!

I've voted Paddy as some of his saves kept us in the game!

Brilliant game, i think we just shaded it. They looked a different team after Kavanagh went off.

Cotteril MOM for me, took on their man well in first half, second half wasnt that good

Well, just got back, Interesting

First of all the policing was SHITE tonight, a disgrace

Anyway. We got hammered for most of the game. Short spells for us that looked promising. Few chances on the counter attack but again can see we are lacking up front.

Burton was poor tonight. Sahar was Okay but looked unfit.

Songo'o was outstanding tonight and was by far the MOTM. His skill and speed is unreal at times. Although he seemed to go down a little easy at times :D, he really is a quality player.

Our defence was great again tonight. Wood and Beevers were good at the back and the full backs didnt do much wrong. Spurr got took apart a few times again, was it by Cotteril? who actually looked quite good. (Your right winger)

Overall a good derby and everything you wanted.

Thankfully i got out unharmed just :D

And thanks to Linz for giving me her details :D

yeah a great derby. bet you were gutted when BT scored!

No offence dj, i dont know you. But what i heard go off in the ground was exactly the reason i didnt want to do it.

Its nothing against you, its the people around you. One sniff of that bacon essence and you could have been in for it

like i said its nothing personal

Fair enough, and thats your choice.

But tbh, i certainly wouldn't have gone in there if i had the intention of being noticed as a wednesday fan and if i knew i wouldn't be able to keep my cool in the unlikely event we do score or win :D

I simply stood there, kept quiet. Clapped when 'you' scored. Looked gutted with a cheeky grin when we scored, and simply kept a low profile

Obviously the idiots that didn't got a face full of boot

apparently the oinkers were singing all way through and were were quite most of the game???

is it me or was there just a silence on there end after we got our first and to the end.

what a state of delusion!

Thats precisely the reason you got a ticket :)

Songo'o was incredible last night. Seen him a bit for Wednesday and he's looked good but he really upped his game last night and completely destroyed us for both goals.

...wonder what Pompey would accept for him? :D:D

Couldn't be arsed to re-write....

The game itself,

Well until the Owls scored, there was only one team pushing and that was the Blades pinning the Owls back. However after the Owls scored they looked a lot better and settled down. We started giving the wingers far too much room and they started punishing us.

Second half started sloppy and the second goal went in. We put a bit of pressure on and got a goal back, then it was even for a while till we piled the pressure on for our second which eventually came. Injury time arose and we couldn't pass the ball to another member of the team and the Owls could/should have snatched it.

What I didn't like from the Owls team, is that when we broke they seemed intent on stopping the break in any way in which they can. which sadly culminated in bringing players down to stop it. Bennett should have taken control more than he did and told them if it carries on like it did then someone would be walking. It happened at least 6 times that I can remember.

Credit to the Owls keeper who had a good game, even doing a fantastic double save at one point to deny a great attack.

Credit to Beattie who won everything in the air and the Owls couldn't handle him.

Few more things though, great atmosphere, draw was a fair result and finally.....

2-0 AND YOU FUCKED IT UP :D

what a state of delusion!

Our fans were excellent tonight, even at 2-0 down we were loud, and once we scored first goal, they were really quiet.

To be fair we deserved the three points but they defended well and Grant made a great double save. Not forgetting Paddy's two saves as well.

One thing that annoyed me was after the game, according to their fans we were lucky . I don't actually hate Wednesday as a team or a club, i just despise the majority of their fans.

Still Beattie what a strike, shame first had to be an own goal and Phillips had to get a few but the guy is a legend.

UTB

Yes BB, but Wolves would still have 2 games in hand over us who lie in 7th

I'd say, it shows how easy this league is that we have been poor for pretty much the entire campaign, but are still capable of being in the play offs.

I'm normally a Squinny fan, but thought he had a bit of a shocker last night. He was frustrated when he came off and I think it would've been interesting to see what Carney did in his position last night. Unfortunately, he was sat with Stuart Pearce and Gillespie in the directors box overspill :)

Thought about him playing myself, but to me he seems abit "lightweight." Good player just needs to be a little stronger at times.

Was more miffed at Geary in tbh. Didnt think he would start. Thought Halls had done a decent job lately.

Interesting talking to blades fans before the game most wanted to see Squinny, Geary and Morgs in the line up.

I think all 3 were not at their best.

Morgs got done for pace and always looked for the player rather than the ball....Squinny was too erratic, probably caught up in the occasion.

Geary was poor and unfit, I'd say, and his forward runs in the second half stopped Cotterill from going forward with him having to cover.

Thing is does this bring into question whether Blackwell is making the best desicions or playing to the crowd???

Up The Blades!

Agreed SF.

Morgs was shocking, that orange booted twat (not cotterill ;) ) did him every time.

Geary whilst doing a few good challenges was mostly disappointing.

SQuinny had the total opposite effect on the team than what he did on Saturday.

Only player that I would say excelled last night was young Beattie.

Not sure but Ugo was unlucky to be dropped last night!

If I was Ugo i'd be slightly annoyed. Gets all the stick before hand, plays a blinder against Leicester (Ok they wasnt overally good in honesty) and gains praise from fans. Then gets dropped.

I wouldn't say he played a blinder, he just kept the simple things simple. Nothing spectacular, just nice and easy.

To be honest I wasn't there so can't comment on that performance, but have never been a big fan of Morgan. Blood, guts and 'never say die' have their place, but that usually arises because he's positionally all over the place and not reading it well. Always preferred centre-backs who read it well, anticipate and generally play with a bit of brain with brawn as needed, rather than t'other way round. Spectacular last-ditch tackles and flying in all over the pitch usually mean their being caught out far too much. BB is right about CBs, one who appears to have done nowt when you've kept a clean sheet have done the job well!
