Great article here on our style of play...

'a conveyor belt-like system similar to Whac-A-Mole in that just when you think you’ve got one hole plugged, another player pops up.'

I'm praying that we stay up - and quite comfortably, 46-50 points is not beyond the realms of possibility. Not only because, of course I want us to consolidate and be a prem club for years to come, but also to shove it up the arse of the so called "experts" out there. The washed up ex pros stealing a living as pundits in the media.

Please make it come true you mightly Blades!

That was superb. Especially the rubbishing of Mills and Crooks and their complete lack of basic research.

The tide is turning, I can feel it. Can't wait until we reach our full potential, it will be something to see.

Actually I hope they keep doing it it makes proving them wrong time and again sweeter. We may go down that’s still a real possibility but it won’t be because we play boring basic football in fact quite the reverse

It's okay. I'm sure some of our fans will go out and kidney punch a few pensioners or ransack a bus carrying disabled children and media balance will be restored.

Like most Blades I think, I've been waiting for the CWAK system to get found out. I thought the step up to the Championship would mean that modifications would be required, and a tweak of the system needed against better players. But it didn't happen, season 1 there was a surprise at how well we performed, we ran out of steam and goals. A few additions for the following season, but no change in the system or philosophy, despite me and many others expecting the championship to have got to grips with this system and be able to nullify or at least restrict it, but no we fly through the division and hit the Premier League. Surely this season, at the highest level there would be tweaks needed, less possession and pressing. It's early days, but little or no change and so far no significant indication that PL teams have found the answer. Time will tell, as may a few defeats, but so far the same pattern.

the revolution has started. Savage was bigging us up last night as well on 606.. tbf he's always rated us.

Yeah but we'll then be dubbed a Huddersfield one season wonder. Probably gonna need 5 years in this league before anyone else takes us seriously.

Flipping "Whack a Mole....", every club we play now all the opposition players will come onto pitch with a mallet........

I’d sooner remain under the radar and be that underestimated team that nobody can be bothered to do their research on........ Then we’ll stay up.

As good as this article was, especially if you're a Blade, let's not lose sight of the fact that it's a News UK tool which is being used to bash both Sky (now owned by Comcast) and the BBC.

Not that Crooks and Mills aren't both clueless twats, but I think there's an ulterior motive to Dream Team bigging us up and highlighting rival news outlets' pundits obvious failings.

I've always thought that this season would reflect our winning start after promotion in 1971.

In those days I was always late delivering newspapers on my paper round as I read all the back pages of the 'nationals' who were praising our style of play with TC and Woody.

Now I can't wait to come on this board in a morning and find another article waxing lyrical about Chris Wilder's Blades.

We should all enjoy it but if you are a teenager especially make the most of it.

40+ years from now you'll be telling others about 'this journey'.

Yes but they’ve noticed it and thought it worthy of attention..... where others haven’t.

I keep thinking that Wilder is creating history NOW.

Really thinks that Wilder will become lauded as the next great manager...and he’ll become really fashionable, like a Pep or a Klopp.
No doubt he’ll release an autobiography in a few years talking about the origins of his “overlapping centre back” system and talking about his 1st season in the PL and what he learnt. I’m predicting his auto biography will be a massive seller throughout the UK.

We have "experts" in Parliament negotiating Brexit. That's going well😏phooking mainstream media. Laughable.

Excellent article. I'm struggling to get used to people who actually watch football appreciating us, and CW, and how we are going about things these days.

When we stay up, which we will, there's going to be a lot of "professional" pundits eating colossally huge slices of humble pie. Will be even better if their "darlings" Villa continue how they've started and slide down to relegation, and serious financial trouble.
