Am slightly worried about the game tonight.
I was surprised by the great start by Reading, also you feel a United slip up at home, made up for by an away win, looming.

I was very confident before Blackburn, and little has changed since then bar Fleck's absence, but for some reason I'm less confident tonight.

It could be the betting line: Reading are top with 4 wins from 6 and are 5 to 1 to win. I know it's early and they might not be for real but that seems to be very generous odds. They have signed the big lad from Huddersfield, Sarr, who will be a tough proposition, and after the Rotherham debacle Lumley is no longer in goal, so they might be a bit better than we perhaps would have thought a week or two ago.

On the assumption Heckingbottom is telling the truth about the injury situation and no one else is out (I know), I'm going to plump for a draw in which both teams score.

It could be a tough game. No sense we are going to overun them like Blackburn. They will sit back and absorb us and use counter attacks and set plays, which can be where we struggle. As usual I think a lot will depend on how we take advantage of all the good positions our build up play gets us into. For all the dominance at Blackburn, only one goal came from a move we put together and that deflected of a player's backside, we will have less chances against Reading

Quietly confident but I often am for home games.

We’ve won 5 league games on the bounce at home so a part of me says we are therefore due a slip but take each one as it comes and all that and if we play to our full potential then it’s another one we can certainly win

dont think many expected this to have been the top 2 playing tonight, even a month ago. currently hats off paul ince is doing a good job most even including reading fans thought they were doomed, in 442 mag reading fan predicted 23rd place finish. so this will be a much tougher game than was expected last month

although i still have nightmares about last years game where it was 1 way traffic for what felt like the entire 2nd half, finally got an equaliser all we had to do was hold out for 90 secs & stoppage time to end, then for what felt like the 20th time we fell apart under pressure, conceding almost straight from the kick off, which shows how far we came v luton to hang on
