1-1 to 6-2.. just WOW!! No one saw this one coming :D
Break did good for us and United looked different team than in previous games.

Personally I'm really happy that Gibbs-White got one hammered in as he was one of the key players the whole time he was on the pitch.

MGW - Ndiaye - Sharp was our supertriple in this game even tho others were succesfull too. Osborne with 2 goals, Wes with couple of good saves and Fleck with new energy and right foot goal!

I was eager to see new players and new United and now I don't know how I can wait until tuesday!

Slavball is here!!

Seriously this will hopefully work wonders for our confidence!

Had to stay at home having caught Covid midweek - and we score 6!!
Just my luck.... 😂

You don't see a goal for ages then 6 come along all at once. That's more like it United!

First win of the season and a much better performance. We dominated the first half but looked iffy at the back. The pattern continued second half and Wes made a very important double safe. We then went on to be actually clinical.

Overall, we created so much more. Gibbs-White and his forward thinking played a huge part in dragging us out of this slump. As did Ndiaye who buzzed around.

Not getting carried away as Posh were terrible and apart for Dembele looked an absolute mess at times. They'd not scored an away goal and managed two against us which is a little worrying.

Wes - 6.5 - Made a crucial double save second half when level. Put a kick straight out of play. Made some good saves and generally ok but there were times when he really looks like he might mess up.
RND - 5.5 - Generally looked ok but on the few occasions they attacked he didn't look the most solid. Almost got caught at the back and lucky to get a free kick. Did ok going forward but seemed to fade second half.
Robinson - 5 - Terrible error for their first and look like he had another in his all game. He did a lot of things fairly well but looks slow on the ball and not great under pressure
Egan - 5.5 - Soft penalty to give away. He'd argue that he didn't touch their player but stupid to try and get to the ball and give the ref a decision to make. Did ok at the back but it looked a mess back there at times.
Baldock - 5.5 - Grew into the game but I thought he was iffy defensively. Got forward increasingly during the second half but seem to want to take an extra touch or slow things down a bit too much.
Norwood - 4.5 - Thought he was terrible first half. Sloppy. He let a man just run passed him through utter laziness and always looking to go backwards. He improved during the second half a bit but for me he slows everything down and is far too slow in thought and deed. Did put some good diagonal ball in but he needs to do a lot more than that.
John Fleck - 7.5 - Good to see John back for his first game of the season. Looked like the player of old. stole the ball several times and pushed forward over and over again. Deserved his goal and that's the best he's played for over a year. He seemed to revert to type as the game wore on but hopefully just tiredness
Osborn - 7.5 - Got two goals with his wrong foot (what is it with left-footers today?!) and he was lively all first half. Put some great first time crosses in. I thought he was poorer second half but always ready to get into the box and was rewarded for it.
Ndiaye - 7.5 - 2 goals on his debut and he impressed. The best thing he did was a brilliant track back and block which was great to see. He was great first half but seemed to fade and went off with (hopefully) double cramp. Extremely promising.
Scott-Gibbs 7.5 - He changed the whole emphasis first half and was always looking to get forward. He seemed to change our entire mindset and gradually the other players copied him. A superb debut and a great finish.
Sharp - 8 - He played a big part in most goals and he was the one making runs throughout. It made such a difference for other players having someone to find all the time. Strangely, I thought a lot of his actual play as a striker was lacking but his all round game brought everyone else in.

subs

Hourihaine - 6 - Seemed to step into Norwood's boots a little too well. Didn't really show anything
Freeman - 6.5 - Such a strange player. He looked slow and ponderous at time and took too long on the ball but always seemed to be moving around somewhere.
McBurnie - 6 - Set up the 6th and did ok. Didn't have a great deal to do

Slav - 8 - I think a lot of people, including me, saw that starting line-up and wondered what he was doing. There was an element of playing square pegs in round holes but it worked. We created so much more than usual and had so many more shots. The worry would be the defence but today was a very good starting point to improve from.

Just what we all needed - would have taken any sort of win but hopefully this will be a huge confidence boost for the whole squad. Really important we back it up on Tuesday night though with another 3 points.

some of the rating are ok, some are outright wrong. I will wait for Deadbats report!

Got to say that’s the worst assessment and ratings I’ve ever seen and I’m very old. UTB

Looks like Jimmy Fleck has fooked off back to Scotland.

Osborne has morphed into Sessegnon.

Morgan Gibbs White and Iliman Ndiaye are the black chuckle brothers.

Billy Sharp has lost 10 years off his age.

Oh and Jack Robinson will always have one in him.
