Wow! That's a blast from the past. Not seen that photo in a fair few years. Not sure who is between Ted and Len, also on the far right back row, probably youth players that LSF might identify. I think front left is Keith Furphy.

Was going to look at the 1974-75 programmes because there were features on youth players. As you say the two werent Blades players, you have saved me from doing a job!Wow! That's a blast from the past. Not seen that photo in a fair few years.
Only just before my time but I'm afraid you're all barking up the wrong tree with the guy between Ted and Len. He wasn't a Blades player at all and I've known him personally for many years. He is a huge Blades fan, and has been all his life, but he would have gotten on the photo because he was making up the numbers on the day for the United Xl. I'm fairly sure I know which cricket ground the photo was taken at, too, which explains a lot. I think I know the young guy on the right side (at the back) as well. Again, he would have been just making up the numbers on the day, but we played a lot of cricket together.
Quite surprised Bob Widdowson isn't on the photo, Silent. Good wicket-keeper for many years and a really nice bloke. I know Ted through cricket and have played against Madden as well.
Memories.

Yes, Keith was Ken's son that played for our reserves. He played in USA tooHi Silent- genuine question- did we have a Keith Furphy as well as a Ken?
Correct, only played in friendlies etcThanks Silent- I can't recall much about him. He never got a first team game then?
Micky Guy was one Bobby Campbell? Was it Jim? I thought there was a John as well? My addled memory is not up to much though.
Gary France? One of the Irish lads that came over? One was Peter Dornan, can't remember the name of the other.
Steve McKeeMicky Guy was one Bobby Campbell?
Come on Fred, give us some names, 2 people mentioned and the ground.?Wow! That's a blast from the past. Not seen that photo in a fair few years.

Put through the new photoshop colourise filter.
Bit of a cliche, Jim Brown being the wicket keeper. Not sure who is between Ted and Len, also on the far right back row, probably youth players that LSF might identify. I think front left is Keith Furphy.
