Yep - 65 for Porter is far too generous. I think 23 would be more appropriate.

I think those ratings are fair for the most part when you compare them to the Championship ones. There is room for growth with Harry's stats as well as for one of two other players. Cofie could be a little higher than 60 I think.

You can even set yourself up as a player and be in the team to do all of that - not that I play - just have a teenage son that has every fifa for the last 10 years or so - XBox is his preferred means of engagement

Philliskirk... if you used him last year was actually our best striker on the game. He seems very overrated and was surprisingly nippy compared to what his stats say. It seems this year he is yet again rated highly, especially on Ultimate team for any of you who play it, very strange as he has barely played any first team football....

The overall ratings seem pretty fair for our lads, the only surprise being Philly. However EA really seems to think we are one of the slowest teams on the game! I know we havn't got that much pace through the team but im surprised at the pace ratings of some players i.e. Hill, Blackman.. amoung others.

That's what i thought... still thats quite a few brownie points for stats like those and not playing in a first team. Not that i'm complaining he was one of my starting strikers in my bronze Ultimate team along with that monster Showumni who was at Tranmere (now at county).

True although Cofie has a good sprint rating.

I would imagine the difficulty with players like Philliskirk is that no one at EA ever gets to see him play so just leave stats as they are! Anyone here moaning about his stats see him play often? Unless you go to all the reserves games you wouldn't.

And remember the overall rating for a player in FIFA isn't a perfect representation, same as the overall for the team.

I have made a few decent signings:

• Danny Batth on loan for the season
• Hogan Ephraim on loan with the option to buy (He has got a fair bit of pace and tricks on FIFA)
• Bought Gunnar Nielsen as goalkeeper cover for Howard (He should really be a free agent as he has left Man City now)
• Bought Michael Johnson for £800k from Man City
• Bought Ryan Shotton from Stoke £400k
• Signed Lozano on loan from Valencia (decent striker)
• Signed winger Igor Martinez on loan from Athletic Bilbao (OK winger but a good job I signed him because Gallagher does go back to Leicester early you have been warned)
• Signed Jose Ballon (Central defensive midfielder good rating and a free transfer)

I was going to get it but decided that I'm still happy with 12 (it helps that I'm finally doing well at the top of the prem and winning European trophies). This thread is tempting me though....

One thing I am hoping will be better on 13 than 12 is the scouting and youth set up, I try to use it as much as possible on 12 and bring through the kids that I get that way instead of buying big money players but it just seems really limited, has this changed at all on 13?

I don't know if it changed since I was looking after it but the Blades team wasn't done by a Blades fan. The editor was a fan of the pigs (I think) but knew I was a Blade so made sure the data was pretty close. For Philiskirk it probably is an element that he was from Chelsea so there is likely more than average information available about him for a comparable junior player.
