Sheffield United FC The Biography.

I have recently been doing some work in Dirty Leeds with another lad from Sheffield. Anyway talk turned to football and turns out he isn’t really bothered but when I said I was a Blade he told me about this book.
Turns out he was doing some renovation work on a derelict house in Sheffield and found a box with 50 of these books in it. All in their original boxes and all with a signed certificate ( first 200 printed had signed certs )
Anyway he kindly gave me one and it’s a wonderful book. Loads of great history and loads of photos. Does anyone else have a copy?
The foreword by Sean Bean simply says “ Bastards “

Yes I have a copy, most of them were water damaged so I doubt there are 200 survivors now, looks like yours was only slightly affected most went in the skip.

I had a box full of these stored away in the attic of my old house. I was having some renovation work done and some bastard nicked the lot.

Mine came with a Black Leather A4 size desk set with red stitching and the club crest embossed in the leather.

I did the same, Canterbury...

...and did likewise, for:

‘Sheffield United - The First 100 years’;
‘Sheffield United - The Complete Record’;
‘125 Years of The Blades’;
‘A Complete Record of Sheffield United Football Club 1889-1999’); and
‘Sheffield United Football Club Who’s Who’.

I’m sure there are others on the ‘Roll of Honour’ for all 6 books.

One Mr K McCabe is on the list for at least 5 of them but I’m not sure I can see his name on the ‘First 100 Years’ subscribers...

The story I heard was a few box full got water damaged so they couldn't be sold and the whole boxes were a write off even though some books suffered no or little damage. It is a fantastic book one of those you put away and make people wear gloves to look at it, children are definitely banned.

Anyone else got this one, my brother gave it to me 10 years ago, it’s in the same format as the OP, but is a series of newspaper articles about the Blades - I’ve never seen another, but you lot will probably have a shedload....
