Sharrowblade , I think the above isnt included in your 1971-72 reserves collection
Cheers Silent, you're correct. The Manchester United home issue has been difficult to find a date for as some were during the 1970s as they weren't all reported. This appears to confirm it for late February.Sharrowblade , I think the above isnt included in your 1971-72 reserves collection
Saw him play when we defeated Man U on Easter Monday 1973. Bobby Charlton's last home game.

I was at the match but dont remember Sidebottom playing but remember him having his arm broken by a ball from Wayne Daniel at Abbeydale Park in July 1977 (Yorkshire v Middlesex)According to Wikipedia, in 2007 The Times included him at number five in a list of the 50 worst players ever to feature in the top flight! More than half of the league games he played at Man United came in their season in the old Second Division in 1974/5, though.
Aye - Arnie &Jack Hampshire’)‘retired hurt’ ; Richard Lumb also got hit and may as well have ‘retired’ n’allI was at the match but dont remember Sidebottom playing but remember him having his arm broken by a ball from Wayne Daniel at Abbeydale Park in July 1977 (Yorkshire v Middlesex)
Yes it was on YorkshireCan't believe I've not seen this thread before. Pity Walthy couldn't have got hold of the 7-0 footage against Ipswich. I seem to remember it being the featured game on Yorkshire TV on the Sunday.
Bizarre how the shirt goes from a red centre stripe and sewn on crest for the first half of the season to a white centre stripe with embroidered crest for the second half, yet Len Badger was wearing his red centre stripe/sewn on crest all the way through.
