Think we sold 8,000 tickets
Whilst Wigan sold about 50K tickets

Eagles were averaging 1,500 at the time, so to take 8000 was good support.

I remember at the time Sheffield creating sporting history and it was wasted because hardly anyone in Sheffield seemed bothered because it wasn’t football.

I put a bet on us to with the cup, as I always do, before we had played a game in the competition. Odds were 50/1. We’ve now made it to the semis and we are still at 28/1 to win it
