12-13 years on and still fuming? You’ve gotta let it go mate😀.

Only joking, I know what you mean. I was absolutely buzzing at half time that night, not only because we were 3 0 up but knowing it was an opportunity to blast them into oblivion and we missed that chance.

I’d got over it until you mentioned it and now you’ve ruined my weekend. Thanks for nothing buddy

lol sorry mate, I will now try and get over it to save any future references ha ha

now to cure that twitch whenever Blackwell name is mentioned

yes derbies espically evening ones are horrendous like waiting for a dentist appointment. & would depend upon if Wednesday are interested in leaving the bus at home this time & attacking

but at there best theres nothing better. that 4-2 game was 1 of best championship games that season. then there jamie ward making 3-0 in 09. beattie in 07

Trust a woman to ask a question that puts ye between a rock and a hard place.
Euphoria when Blades win, Total dejection when they lose. A draw only prolongs the agony till the next encounter, there is no dismount once you mount the tiger.
Having said that, we, the whole Blades family wouldn't be what we are if Sheffield was a one club city. Both clubs through time, have shaped the way we are today.
So enjoy the good times, ride the punches in the not so good and remember never lose your temper in front of the degenerates. Don't give them fuel to burn you with, smile, confuses them, you know that's not a hard job. UTB.

I will never ever miss derby matches I hate the week before and all the gut churning build up where the local media seem to always big up the pigs. Hopefully at the end of next season we will be two divisions apart. I can't really say I want them to fall into oblivion but let them have their derby games with Stocksbridge Park Steels otherwise the deluded lot might just want to follow the only proper team in Sheffield how bad would that be with ex pigs sat amongst us? They just have to survive as the club that brought match fixing to the game, stadiums with no safety certificates to the game, and false accounting to break FFP rules.................... such a proud history.

Don’t miss them one bit. Hopefully we’ll never have to play them again.

Awful club, awful fans. A stain on the game and the city of Sheffield.
I utterly and totally concur sir, well said that man.

As much as I love a derby against the pigs. The excitement, the nerves, the atmosphere. I would happily watch them dissapear as a club because I know how much this is killing them inside. I would take another 30 years without a derby if it meant that we became an absolute bigger club.

Have always hated Derby games. Apart from the worry that we might lose to the Oinkers it’s the hate between the two sets of fans despite the fact we all live in the same city. Remember a recent Derby being outside the Sportsman on Bramall Lane as the Wendy fans were “escorted” into the ground by police escort with our fans lining the side of the road and shouting obscenities at them and the whole atmosphere being just filled with hate. It was not normal banter between rival fans but just aweful. Not pleasant.

Always makes both sets of fans look very stupid that.

You’ve got Blades each side of the road shouting obscenities and gesticulating and Wednesday fans doing the exact same. All the while being protected from each other by the Police who film everything and everybody.

Makes us all, them and us look very sad.

The levels of hatred between both sets of fans does seem to have gone up this century. When I was a kid in the 70s and teenager in the 80s, there never seemed that level of bitterness, even in the 90s it wasn't that bad. I put it down to a couple of things, one, we didn't play each other that often, what 10 league games in 30 years, whereas over the last 20 there's a fair few more. I think the other thing is, generally this century we've been the better team and bigger club, more fans, better ground, better facilities, more media spot light, etc which is killing them and making them very bitter. Chuck in they've not been in the top flight this century (bar 1/2 season when they were relegated with one of the worse teams in prem history) and have floated between tier 2 and 3 and it's sending their levels of bitterness through the roof.

At least they get to play Rovrum next season, that's always a spicy derby for them. UTB FTP

There’s a theme here isn’t there. Have to say I’m not missing them at all - sadly.
I used to love ‘em but not any more & anyway we’ve got many more much bigger & important games to play without that lot.
