As some of you may know my mum (debbyblade) was diagnosed with breast cancer at the beginning of 2008 but fortunately it was treatable. After nearly a year of treatments and care she is now free from cancer. This was thanks to many charities and organisations that help people who are suffering or have suffered from cancer.

Because of the care my mum got I want to give something back. I have set myself the target of running the Sheffield Half Marathon on the 26th April in order to raise funds for the charity that helped my mum the most.

She said that Cavendish Cancer Care helped her the most because it gave her a lift and made her feel better about herself during the treatment.

Aye... go without a Peter's Pie on Tuesday night and chuck a couple of quid into the pot for Mouse :)

If you reach your target, can we have first refusal on the pictures of you looking knackered at the finishing line?

One in three of us will get cancer at some stage in our lives.

Worth giving a few quid I'd say. If it helped Debs it's worth it!

:)

Cheers to everyone who has given so far :)

People are welcome to come to Don Valley to watch me crawl over the finish line!

Just another bump of this one :D

We outside the Lion that Sunday then?

Come on people still time to give a bit to this.

Don't be shy.....even £1 helps!

Good luck to Mousey for tomorrow too!

Cheers, should be an experience.

Also, the JustGiving site has a minimum of a £2 donation ;) haha.

But genuinely thanks to everyone who has sponsored me so far. I've had E-mails from Cavendish Cancer Care and they're extremely appreciative of all donations made.

Well the London marathon has just been won in just over 2 hours, 5 minutes :)

Just a quick thank you to everyone who sponsored me for today. It has gone towards a great cause and it will be muchly appreciated.

I completed it in 2 hours 27 mins (roughly). It was boiling hot and draining on the body but I was doing well until about the 10 mile mark when cramp kicked in, which slowed me down a lot.

Well done Mouse! That's much quicker than you can reverse into a space!

Just got my official time, I did it in 2 Hours 25 Minutes and 52 Seconds. And I ache so so much today! :D

Well done!

My mate who I used to work also did it. I believe he did it in 1hour 57minutes.

Well done :) once my new debit card arrives I'll lob you some money on the Just Giving site. How are your nipples?

Fine actually, I vaselined them up. Only bit I missed was like the inside back of my thighs so they got chaffed quite a bit.
