What's the Totaliser up to now on the Charles begging bucket go fund me bonanza?
 
Some supposed ITK-er on twitter with links to Wednesday (and a Pateron?!) saying that Wednesday are close to re-signing him and are confident it will get done.

Seen some on Owlstalk skeptical about it because apparently he's known to be pro-Chansiri and posted anti-Rohl things.

What a truly odd football club
 
It's a bit of a win win situation really on this one. We either pinch him from under their pink little snouts and leave them seething, or he goes back to them and United's interest has made them splash a fair bit of wedge more than the originally wanted just to save face.

Id like us to get the lad, but I'm not too fussed provided we bring in a bit of quality in the middle of the park quickly. We need reinforcements in midfield.

A supposed Wednesday ITK-er on their board suggested Chanser would talk down their fee for Charles by threatening to report Southampton for their tapping up of Rohl.

Which completely tallies with the reporting today about Saints asking Wednesday to put up or shut up 😂.

They’d better get it up front. He can’t even pay the tax bill on time. Points deduction incoming I hope.
 
Never mind. Perhaps we'll take a look at him again in the summer when we are back in the PL and looking to pick off some of the better players from the Championship clubs. Charles might be OK to bulk out our squad a bit in the summer...

Meanwhile, the little pink ones will be scratching around for a few groats in the summer months after they spunked all of their summer budget on large loan fees in the January window (due to desperation and wanting to save face). Mind you, we might have moved on from Charlie Boy by then. We'll see.

I’ve heard the opposite that Southampton would prefer him to go elsewhere or pay a high price for him… they’ll already be picking up 100% of his wages and at a certain point, Wednesday will have to pull out…

We on the other hand have an ace up our sleeve

Assuming it’s down to Chris having a good relationship with his agent, or we’re signing someone else.
 
I’m personally not bothered about the lad but just seen on FB a video where Sausage says it’s 50/50 on him going back to pigs

If he is dead set on going back to pigs etc etc then the hold up has to be either with Chancer or Saints

Fair enough.

To be honest I’ve never claimed to be ITK and have only confirmed what I’ve seen has been talked about publicly by Wilder - he’s talked about being in for Cannon, Charles, and Choudhury. The other alternative is when the other party has talked about coming to us, Kenny or Cannon offer being accepted.

Since it’s not enough, I’ll leave it then. Sounds like decent feedback. I thought giving a little bit was better since it’s a forum where we all contribute a bit.

I think you may need to wind your neck in.
I’m here for gossip, rumour and peek behind the curtain as to what’s going on with potential deals, and you use your own intelligence as to who’s posts you put weight in.
If some, as they do, want to believe every bit of nonsense that’s up to them as they twist their heads in knots. Alternatively if you want to believe some and discard others then that’s what this forum is for.
As a poster, I trust if Swiss is providing some info he believes it’s reliable so he’s sharing what he wants to.
It’s not for you or anyone else to say what should be posted or shared.

Personally I would rather hear this sort of confirmation news than not. I've never had a "source" but I would imagine naming them or every detail going on would mean you wouldn't have one for long so never understood the demands from people to do so.

As a 'guesstimate', how likely percentage wise are we to get Charles? Just your gut feeling?

Sounds very much like it’s done and dusted that he’s stopping put.
 
Can we actually move on and sign Choudhury now then please? Pissing about like this when our current starting midfield options are an exhuasted Peck, an inconsistent Brooks who is better on the wing anyway, a LB in Burrows who has been shoehorned into the middle and a player from the U21s, could end up hampering us with even more injuries.

He was never going to come to us, despite what some may have thought.

That’s their transfer business funding spent then.
Chansiris has shown some ambition spending in this transfer window and they’ve not improved their squad.

I know bless em.

So far this window we’ve got a £10m loan to buy for BBD a Chilean international who scored basically 1 in 2 for us in the prem and spent £10m+£3m on Cannon, a 22 year old forward who’d been linked with the who’s who in the division. We’ve also been promised 2/3 more good signings.

Their whole window looks to be dominated by re-signing a loan player who was supposedly there all season again, for more money than he was costing previously when they’re severely lacking a goal scoring striker and a half decent defender.

He also said this on Tuesday when it was still up in the air

Not saying he won't re-sign for them (I think he will) but I'm fairly confident he's a shit-stirrer
