Tonight Billy was the difference on the pitch. We were poor first half, coutts imparticular for me in midfield couldn't pass a 5 yard ball to one of our players. Hanson up top not threatening enough and just gives clumsy foul after foul away(lavery pushing for a starting spot next game ran his socks off)and Bash with his marauding runs out of defence contributed , but to have someone like billy who just knows where the back of the net is ,even when things aren't going great is just priceless.

I imagined wilder gave them a real talking too at half time and watching him with the fans at the end just makes me proud to be a blade.

Billy has an absolutely incredible knack of scoring goals at the minute. It's just always him. I don't know how he does it. He's going to get 30 for sure.

As for Snakehips Bashambauer, he's been outstanding for a while now. He was again tonight. He's possibly the fittest player in the division, is a superb tackler and far better on the ball than most give him credit for. He's a key player without a doubt.
It means a lot to him as well. I notice he's always the one celebrating most with Sharp at the end of games. Suppose he's the longest serving player now as well.

Last 6 games Billy has 7 goals, without those we would be 9 points worse off and we'd be fearing it would be the same story all over again.

During games he never stands out as our best player, he's often quiet for long periods but to have someone with a knack of scoring goals is more invaluable than anything else.

There is nothing more I want to see than our leader and talisman lift the league trophy in front of our great fans.

Hindsight. I'm sure that his previous incarnations at United (8 goals in 53 apps.) didn't set many on fire when Badkins signed him. He's now benefitting by playing in a good, balanced team. Chancing upon Billy doesn't make up for the likes of Hammond etc.
