Well done Billy for gerrin 20 and stealimg another 2 points Satdi. Where on earth would we be wi-art him?* Thank fook Adkins signed a decent striker before Wilder arrived otherwise we'd be nowhere near where we are.

I'm sure all the clapping brigade will be out shooting me down, calling me a troll (or worse) etc but just look at the strikers Wilder has signed and their records. Imagine if we had been playing with Lavery and Clarke up top all season. Hanson's signing would have been too late and Done couldn't score in a brothel. The 'couldn't hit a barn door' brigade are being bailed out big time.

So we stumble on thanks to Billy. We may yet limp over the line if he stays fit and in form. Another thing for Tufty to be thankful of is that Sharp has played every single league game. Well done to Billy for keeping fit, staying disciplined (only a handful of yellows) and staying bang on form.

Agree that Billy as been a prominent figure upfront, but had Chris Wilder not signed the now competent midfield we have, and rejuvenated the like of Coutts, we would be in Mid Table as you rightly say but out of the Adkins team from last year, there are only remnants of that squad so to compare the two would be quite inaccurate as the whole team as changed and the person pulling the strings (CW) as more of a plan than Adkins did, also so far this year unforced substitutions have been for the better of the team and on field performance, unlike Adkins last year where it seemed to be a substitution lottery where the player and collective players did not benefit or help the game what so ever..

If you think Wilder was lucky for inheriting Sharp you must also give him credit for getting performances out of some of the other players he inherited.

Plus:

Lavery is doing fine.
Done's goal record is poor but the results with him in the side were stellar
Clark is a bust, but if that's Wilder's biggest error I'll live with it.

Should have gone to specsavers !!!

Yes because I'm sure Wilder didn't factor Sharp in at all when he got the job, he's just got extremely lucky and no way would he have recruited any differently if we didn't have him. And obviously Billy's the only good player in the squad (to anybody who only follows us on teletext).

Stealing, stumble and limp are well selected words, but overall still a poor piece of wummery.

Clark and Hussey seem to be the two flops, but other than that everyone as played a part and well and for all the Done is not scoring, his contribution cannot be ignored as many do, the unbeaten run had a lot to do with the effort and robustness in performance and took some of that work from Billy so he could concentrate on being the goal scorer we know him to be.

Yeah - Tufty's a real waste of space compared with the Nigel twats.

All a bit redundant as threads go. If we didn't have Billy we'd be moaning that we need someone like him....as it is he's a Blade, he's doing what he's paid to do, shockfuckinhorror!

Unless there's a point that's not being made what's the point of this? Transfer to the numpty's thread (or at least create one).

Nearly 5000 posts, if it was your first I would suspect foul play.:@

Bryan Robson also signed Sharp once upon a time.

But we haven't been.

"Things are going great, so let's 'imagine' they're going shit, then let's use this 'imagination' to bash the best side and best manager we've had in recent memory".

Jeez.

It is possible to praise a player without drawing on hyperthetical negatives. We don't need to imagine anything because we're currently top of the league with the whole squad contributing. Dread to think what your life must be like. Lets 'imagine' you won the lottery, would you sit there all the time wondering what life would have been like if you hadn't won the lottery? Or would you just be enjoying your current success?

Get a life!
