The maximum sentence for common assault is 6 months. ABH can be in Magistrates Court (max 6 months sentence), or in Crown which carries a higher sentence. He'll likely get a custody sentence of less than one year unless he's got previous for this and a minimum ten year football banning order.*Common Assault
ABH - Actual bodily harm - as it sounds
GBH - Grievous bodily harm (usually broken something on victim like leg etc)
Depending on the CPS they have 3 options as above in order of severity it won't be GBH as no skull fracture.
ABH is possible however they might decide to combine Common Assault with a Football Related Public order offence.
Common Assault is easier to convict as 2 obvious breaches however with it being caught on camera they may deicide to go after ABH to set an example.
Max sentence is 5 years on ABH (doubt it would be that high) on common assault max sentence is 6 months.
