I've never wavered on KM mate. He's a genuine bloke. Like all successful businessmen who get involved in football (especially the club they support) the business brain turns to blancmange and allows the heart to take over. He has not made money out of SUFC. He never will. People who think he has are naive about the economics of running a football club. The truth (and it's a blindingly obvious truth, however much some would prefer not to hear it) is that the McCabe family have quite literally spent a fortune on maintaining our football club. Yesterday he sold half that responsibility, greedily lining his pockets with a whole pound.

He has made some major errors (I highlight one or two of them myself with some regularity) but always with the best interests of the club at heart. In the long and colourful history of SUFC chairmen (including, lest we forget, a time-served convict, an international fugitive who dare not set foot in the UK, an international fugitive who date not set foot in the UK and purported to sell the club to a penniless Iraqi drag queen], he is, amidst colourful competition, the best of a bad bunch.

No-one else has managed to bring Saudi money into UK football. KM did yesterday. It was undoubtedly a major day in the club's history. A sea change. It might just (we shall see) mark the beginnings of things we never thought possible.

LA Sands, Chengdu, The Hotel, Jacob Esan. All were going to lead us out of the darkness into the light. If you're right and he has lost a load on SUFC (though, if there is a price for success, why does the same not apply to failure?) then Scarborough will hav redressed some of those as a result of it's opening up in new, dynamic markets on the back of football.

I hope as much as anyone and everyone else, we finally get the break we hope for and deserve, but for me there's a lot to do before he breaks even in my book.

Anyway, what's that insistent low hum in the background? It's getting louder and closer, look! look up there, what's that coming out of the Sun....?

I think both Jose and Florent were paid for by McDonald transfer. As much as I think both players look very promising and the style DW is pressing on the team could develop into a southampton like return to the top flight if we are being optimistic. I personally think we should look at what mr winter was saying about this being a building season, hinting that promotion is not the main objective this season, being sustainable is.......Do we just turn around and throw all that out of the window now with new investment and say its all about results and promotion this season....IF this is what the investor expects then DW will need to start buying some experienced goal scoring strikers and a solid experienced midfield (with a final ball unlike doyle).
Our current team i feel is too young and inexperienced to be consistent and make the right desicions at the right times. Hopefully in the January window if not the loan market we can land the right experience in midfield and upfront we will be pushing playoffs again this season...... and the season after if we don't miraculously succeed in the playoffs this season, we can seriously challenge for automatic next season in weirs second season in management.
