I think it was when we beat Birmingham 6-0 in Dec 69, its when he came to our notice,he was kicking everybody in sight like a mad man (he might not have been sent off) maybe got a yellow card,can you remember the game.

I remember clearly when my dad was picking me up from a children's xmas party, organised by his work, he was telling me "United won 6-0" . I was impressed that the Blades had won 6-0.

Another cup chance pissed away by a Harris side. We ballsed up a number of easy draws in the league cup in the 1960s.

Interestingly another result that night, as shown in the clipping, was Ajax hammering Liverpool 5-1 in the European Cup. Probably the first time anyone in the U.K. became aware of Johan Cruyff…

Mind you Shearer also decked him on a night out at Newcastle

As I recall he should have been sent off, he got booked and then should have had a second booking about five times. I might be wrong but I thought he never actually was.
