Second VAR penalty check

What the F**k is that Villa Player doing with his arse in the air, encroaching into the D further than any of our players? Its not as though he could gain an advantage as it looks like he is about to fulfil the mother of all face plants?
 



He was trying to pull Lunny over just before the pen was taken but Lunny shook him off, at a he time I thought it was a shithouse trick to get Deano distracted

I hope that’s more accurate than your last VAR proclamation :)
As I understood it, if he balloons that pen over the bar it doesn’t matter (from VAR point of view) who’s in the box.
If Lundstram’s in the box and gets to the rebound first, then it’s retaken. If not, then there’s no need for it to be
 
I hope the squad review all this because we’ve got to be so so disciplined during penalties nowadays. I was fully expecting a retake, just because VAR makes much more likely. Bag of shit that it is.
 



I have rewatched the pen several times, and Deano’s discipline is amazing. At normal speed I thought he was well off his line, and so was surprised that they hadn’t hit us with a retake for that.

However, the new rule is one foot on the line, and when you step it through his left foot is glued to the line, even though he is a metre in front. They must really practice that endlessly for him to do it so perfectly under a high pressure situation.

Football is so complex these days and it is this attention to detail that puts our management team way above most of the rest.
 
Watching again this morning and we've got to agree it's a penalty.
The Memsahib then says, " Why is he (Grealish) the muddiest player ?"

Do you realise Lundstram was the first to get to the rebound?
 
Bashams foot is just inside on that photo too. Wilder needs to tell the players not to encroach it’s not worth it.

I thought the Villa player blocked his run into the box.

If he hadnt done he would definitely have encroached.

"Many a true word spoken in jest". I'll go along with what you say 100%, seems to have as much credence as most VAR situations.
