Second on MOTD

From my seat in the Kop, the defender went through the back of George's knee, scraped down the back of his calf, and then stamped on his ankle whist on the floor. Disgusting! Nailed on penalty.
We'll be lucky if he regains fitness before the end of the season.
utb

And then didn’t have the decency to offer him a helping hand to get to his feet .

Should have been sent off for ungentlemanly conduct , a failure to show empathy to a fellow professional and having a dodgy haircut .

It can't be overturned because it's not clearly and obviously not a pen. But it's not is it? Absolutely buzzin it is though!

I literally couldn’t give a shit. I am fuming nearly every week when soft decisions go against us, and pundits more often than not just dismiss it with no comment our outright disdain. We have won our first game and in fact it makes me happier that it was a dodgy pen. Where was the outrage on MOTD when ref played 16 min to ensure Spurs beat us? Nothing, they just wanked themselves daft over Postecogleu.

So if a player doesn’t claim a penalty it can’t be a dive?
He was stood on which made him fall the ref gave it before he hit the floor how was it a dive...my you do hate us blades winning don't you.
Take it we get plenty of shit against us. He gave it and VAR could see anything to say he was incorrect. THATS HOW IT WORKS ...for us or against us

The thing that makes me laugh is that when Grealish does this they praise him and call him clever. How many times does Grealish stand still over the ball and invite contact for a free kick or penalty?
Them and us

We know it's how it works

How dare that ref give some small fry club a penalty when we have no professional falling down.expert

to be fair officials made a right balls up at Newcastle
the ball went out of play , there was a deliberate 2 handed push on the centre back and the scorer only had 1 player between him and goal as he was beyond the keeper so he was offside , but apart from those 3 errors they were spot on

Away from our match I found it hilarious how they were all sucking up to Maguire with keown saying how he's always rated him. The media collectively have been crucifing him for 2 years at every available opportunity, but now a big thing has been made of bullying and taking it too far (probably brought about by Southgates comments after that Scotland game and quite rightly so). So now they are all backtracking and being nice about him at every available opportunity.

You can add the straight red on Havertz for a terrible challenge on Longstaff, which the ref bottled.

Its as if pundits are told to create talking points so that people start threads on it.

If your going down before contact that's a dive. It would be against us it is for us. It was so obviously not a foul baldock got right up and tried to continue. Didn't even look at the ref. Says it all

Do I care? No. Because sides do it to us
"so obviously not a foul baldock got right up and tried to continue."
hes honesty cant be questioned , he might have thought hed tripped himself up , but the defender just caught his foot , was harsh and unfortunate for the defender but it was a trip , but a lot of penalties given like that are accidental,,

Ive only been watching us 60 years so have probably only seen 2 or 300 like that given against us

You can bet your bottom dollar if that happens in our box in injury time and it wasn't given, Gary O'Neil would be on the box telling everyone they had been robbed as it was a penalty under current rules....

Tough shit sunshine. Suck it up buttercup.

Wolves conned the ref all game just like every other team in every Prem game I’ve seen at the Lane.I hope now that we’ve finally wised up cos if we are gonna stay up this season just being a bit cuter all over the pitch is essential.
I don’t like it but the days of honesty and sportsmanship are long gone let’s not be the victims…..again.
Play em at their own game.
Well done FG.
and what a pen that was!

if your supposed to "win" penalties its time we played along
surprised ref didnt add 13 minutes more to give them the chance to get a result

I think the ref knew he'd fucked us over leading up to the goal by telling Gus to get up when the ball was out and he was needing to go off - Hecky was right to be pissed off about it.

I thought he let them pinch yardage on the throw too. Better crossing position, player injured, chance, goal.

Not good.

For all the BBC /media ignore us chat that game being second was a odd pick. Was hardly a classic! I think we had two shots on target and Wes only had a couple of saves to make.

I have heard Gary Linekar say they tend to put mid table games towards the back unless it's a crazy game so maybe the other games weren't very exciting yesterday ( not seen them yet) but even still!

Another one in the eye for the people with chips on their shoulders I guess.

The ball.didnt go out of play
It wasnt a foul and it cant be offside if the ball isnt played forward

I love the way Murphy and Keown were trying to argue that it wasn't a penalty and there was no contact/minimal contact when you see the replay from Silva's left. Then when you see it in slow motion from his right side and can see clear contact with Baldock, they suddenly hesitate in their commentary, then continue with their rhetoric.

For me the player's reaction at the final whistle tells it all. He was in tears for letting his team down. If it wasn't a penalty then he'd be angry at the decision. Why remorse unless you know you did something wrong?
The whole incident was a bit like Jebbison vs Man City.

Despite his swing for the ball, the contact was minimal and not enough to take the guy down.

I don’t recall many protestations about how easy the City player went to ground.

At the end of the day, fuck ‘em!

no definite angle on ball out , yes it was a push and the the player was beyond the keeper and it was played forward

There is a definite angle on the ball out on bein sports
Slight push on player already throwing himself forward so not enough to overturn the goal
Im sorry but if you think thats a forward pass you need to stop mixing your drinks
