I think that works both ways though, I've lost my wallet before, but I've never lost my phone (yet).

Lost both at separate times over the years. Not regularly like (some people are horrendous for losing phones), but it has happened.

I'd imagine it's incredibly rare to lose both at the same time unless you've been mugged.

Point stands, though. If you're using your phone as a means to pay and therefore just taking that out with you, it'd be a fucker of a thing to lose. Thought the same when people started tucking their ID and bank cards into their phone cases

Off topic slightly, any news on renewals for nex season?

I will, of course, make the Carrier Bag Firm case for "physical" tickets, membership cards & season cards/tickets. They form an important component of people's memorabilia collections. As I have posted before, some of the CBF traipse down to the ticket office at The Lane every fortnight to "swap" their season card for a paper ticket. (For eg, season card won't work for the Bournemouth game as it has been replaced by a paper ticket). In that way they have even more PRECIOUS PAPERWORK for each game. The bare minimum being programme, teamsheet & match ticket.

Lost me season ticket last week. Having a back up in me phone, GooglePay style, would be marvelous. Or just inject an RFID chip directly into my palm, whatever.

Perhaps we can agree that having the option is the best way forwards? Could be the best option for the club too; to trial it next season with say a couple of thousand willing participants (assuming the financials to do this stack up)? I’m sure they’d be teething problems, so running it on a smaller scale, before any kind of full roll out, would be best.

Quite right too.

With regards to season tickets not working etc etc, the biggest problem gaining entrance this season has been the large number of people attempting to get into the Upper Bramall Lane with their season ticket for the upper Westfield.

The problem stems from the fact that Turnstile No 13 (upper Bramall Lane) is joined together with Turnstile No 12 (Upper Westfield) but they go into different stands, and the season ticket obviously does not work if going into the Bramall Lane Upper as its not programmed to accept a Season Ticket.

The number of people who hold everyone up by trying miserably and then walk off mumbling 'F***** useless' is astounding.
