I get more likes for my posts than you ever will

Wow! Criticising the board, slagging the club off for not bidding £200k extra for a player you admitted you'd never seen, moaning about a club you can't be bothered to support despite the amazing season - all for a few extra likes from the sleeper pigs on here.
Well done you.

All things are equal now, no excuses for them.

But there are!

-ALL our tickets are discounted, NOBODY pays full price
-We give 10k tickets away EVERY game to students
-We give 15k tickets away EVERY game to the local Chinese community
-We run 'kids for a quid' at EVERY game and provided you aren't over 47, you qualify as a 'kid'
-If you buy a Blades mug in the shop, you get free match day tickets for life
-The players get 1,727 tickets each for every game to give away for free.

We know all of this, because NKT is at the leading edge of investigative journalism.

Let's face it, we just had a one good season and all the part timers have come out.

They genuinely are MASSIVE and even in the Third Division in the 1970s, they never got less than 350k for home games.

I think you're exagerrating there just a bit. It's a Blades mug AND keyring you have to buy to get free match day tickets for life.

Our trajectory is upwards. They've shit their pot full and are on the way back down. Even if we don't finish above them we'll be going in different directions. Additionally, If we've sold 20k ST's and if we get an away contingent of 2.5k, which will be similar to them, then it all depends on walk ups. The pricing of match day tickets in our favour will swing the overall total our way. The fuckers will need counselling if we get bigger crowds than them, their lives depend upon it.
In past seasons the Wendies played home games when other local clubs were away; they picked up the casual supporters. We faced competition as other local clubs played home games when we did

Bloody ell bovril I didnt know all that, learn summat new as they say every day, anyhow, fuck em, up the blades

I never understand the Wendy argument of, "all United fans buy concessions and kids tickets".

Let's assume this is true, then what stops their fans doing the same at Hillsborough? They have electronic turnstiles too, don't they? If anything their fans have more of an incentive to do this, given the ridiculous prices.

Why are we alleged to be the only club in the country doing it.

Thought this stopped years ago when we were in the Championship, I remember the club putting something on the official web site years ago saying they have become aware that some adults have paid for kids tickets but this will no longer continue as we will start putting stewards on the other side of the turnstyles watching the lights.

In recent years I've been in the BL Corner stand and JS family stand and there's always stewards stationed on the other side watching if the light is green or red. It's like Fort Knox trying to get inside the ground.

And if they hold hands and chant all that enough times it MUST be true, FACT!

When was the last time our st sales outsold theirs?

Reports suggest that

Owls have sold 19,100 season tickets to date.
For marketing reasons they set a deadline and have now taken them off sale,
so 19,100 is their final figure for the start of the season.

Blades have sold 19,800 season tickets and they are still on sale.
Some people always leave it to the last minute so
they are expecting o break through the 20,000 barrier by the time the season starts.

Seems certain we"ll get bigger crowds next season.
Although no doubt if we average more than them that will all of a sudden be irrelevant.
The buzzword will be "average revenue per game" ha ha

If we have 20k season tickets but only 19k turn up, we'll still count all 20k in our attendance. The oinkers will do the same but if they only have 19k that's a head start we'll have on them before regular punters turn up.

Say what you like! There are far too many on here who think we should condition our views by reference to what the Pigs say or think.

Not me. No fucks given.

We're massive.

As with all good folk raised in the good borough of Darnall I've more class and decorum than them from the pig-sty

Bet you were dragged up in Fulwood or some other dump

Let's be honest... If it weren't for them lot calling themselves massive, which they ain't! never have been, never will be! Then I say 'Who Cares'

I used to visit my great-aunt on Stovin Terrace with some frequency. We never allowed her in Ashford-in-the-Water though...

I don't think that's right. The turnstiles count the attendance, I believe.

Don't think that's right ha ha
The trend these days seems to be that clubs count tickets sold, so season tickets are automatically added into the attendance.

Hence why you see official sell outs at West Ham, Man City, Arsenal, Sunderland but on the Match of the Day there are visibly 1000's of empty seats. There were a few night matches last season at Hillsboro where there was a barely over 20K actually there in attendance but they were officially counted as 24K.

Has anyone confirmed officially how many we've sold?

Ex player Kevin Gage said it was almost 20,000
But our best source seems to be the poster who's sister in law works in the ticket office.
She told him we've sold 19,800 which tallies up with what Gagey said.

Just baffles me why the club never say about it.

Remember having a set to with the opening bowler at ashford in the water, very pleasant, nice teas, ah the memories of leather on willow and the batternburg going flying in all directions

Certainly good value for the Championship but it makes the early bird season tickets look a veritable bargain.
