There's been big queues outside the ticket office since Tuesday. As I look now, the queue extends as far as the club shop.

Just got back. Did not buy a season ticket. The queue is constant to the shop.

It's been like that all day i think, i've popped past a few times during work today to get some tickets, ended up leaving it and will now go online or pop in tomorrow. Great effort by the Blades fans.

Is this right?

Brilliant if it is

Come on..........must be someone who can put a negative spin on this..............are there any Alistair Campbells out there?

I often end up thinking this: the club come out with some great initiative and the miserati lay into it.

Someone moaned about play off ticket prices.

Anyway, on a brighter note, it's good news. As I keep saying I think it's a great time to be a Blade.

:-)

Unbelievable support once again from the blades. We all may moan, myself included, but one thing is for sure we're a loyal bunch.

Or some may say idiotic bunch ;) but theses crowds we are getting year in year out are fantastic. Let's just hope we get served up some better quality of football next year.

Sounds good but we sold 14,000 last season and all those people have had the chance of a very good offer under the Early Bird scheme to return and so far 4000 haven't.

When the prices go up I doubt many of those who didn't take up the early bird offer are going renew when they have to pay more, unless of course we are in The Championship.

I think the prediction of crowds of 15 -16k on Saturdays still looks a good one for League one next season.

Good to see somebody took up Fulwood's challenge. Fine effort.

The deadline is much earlier this season. We will sell a few more thousand yet. And the deadline has been extended.

None of my lads mates have renewed, but they all will. I don't think the deadline will signal the peak as it has previously.

Oooo 10,000 sold eh, I bet McCabe is already putting feelers out for Murphy's next club ;)

I find it disgusting that all our fans are bothered about is buying for next season, I mean we don't know what division we'll be in! It's blind loyalty!

Are the early season ticket sales just a way of deflecting from the fact that we haven't started work on the pitch yet?!? Sure we have a home game to play in the league and play offs but Wednesday have already started ripping theirs up and at this rate we'll be at least two weeks behind them.

We all know what that means.... The artificial grass won't get chance to grow!

And if people are going to get positive about season ticket sales I'll say this: where's our webcam? Wednesday have shown pure ambition by showing their pitch ripping on a webcam

Clough out

You'll be trying again though won't you? :D
No. I have no blind loyalty. It will actually be cheaper for me to have a membership and pick and choose. I did not have a season ticket this season just a membership, because I thought I would not get to as many games as I have. I actually attended most games but object to be called a returning fan when for many years I had season tickets and circumstances changed which made it impractical to have them. Therefore being charged £350 and not £320. Whilst I paid more overall, I have a system available next year with membership that will allow me to come out about the same as £320. It is a bit of messing about but if Ido end up attending less games I'll be on to a winner. I have spoken to the ticket office about this but as their system will not see me as loyal as any season ticket holder, they tell me there is nothing they can do.

PS. I went yesterday to get play off tickets (which again aren't discounted for members like they should be) and one young adult season ticket for my son.

Maybe they should have called people "returning season ticket holders". I guess one of the problems is that so many people will claim all sorts of different reasons for special treatment and once they have a system they need to stick with it.

At least with a membership you'll be able to continue accumulating loyalty points and have some seniority when tickets are tight.

I agree that they cannot satisfy everyone but if you can point out you may as well have been a season ticket holder and well beyond that, then it may be something they should consider. "Returning fans" is not the correct name for "Loyal members".
I appreciate that their could be an endless amount of claims for different treatment. You can break these down though with a bit of will. They do when dishing out tickets for big games.

Look at the ones trying to turn it into a negative ,yet they deny they find negativity in everything Sheffield United. Why bother , really ?

I know Harry is your new hobby horse, but let's face it. Unless we go up we won't have as many season tickets as last season. I don't think the drop off will be as severe as what Harry says, however all that good will gained from last season with the fans has been pissed away and Clough will have no credit left with the bank if we don't go up. For some like me, he will have negative equity.

I am going to put that aside though and will be going to all 3 games, touch wood in hope he can find some magic from somewhere.

If this is correct then it poleaxes any myth of SUFC fans being fickle. Given the crap we have been served up in league matches this Season at home, this sort of commitment from the fans is nothing short of astonishing !!

The Board, management and players should hang their heads in shame and sweat blood to deliver automatic promotion to the supporters next season.
