sufc.co.uk said:
Sheffield United today unveiled plans to offer children under 12 a FREE season ticket to Bramall Lane next season.

In a bid to offer affordable football and reach out to a new generation of United fans, the Club announced details of its new season ticket prices designed to encourage even more young supporters to Bramall Lane.

*To qualify for a free season ticket an under 12 needs to sign up as a Junior Blade for £10, and be accompanied by an adult season ticket holder.

The club has reduced prices in a number of areas around the ground.

Adult renewals on the Kop (Frasers Property Stand) have been reduced to £299, while seat prices in the Valad Stand drop to £409.

Seats in the Capital One Stand (Family Enclosure) and Evolution Corner (Family Enclosure) are frozen at £409.

In a message to supporters, Sheffield United Plc chairman Kevin McCabe, said:

"We are determined that season tickets are as affordable as possible for our supporters, and our new season ticket pricing policy reflects these concerns. Our commitment to our younger supporters and families continues.

"We place great importance on you, as supporters, as the life blood of the club.

"I have seen your frustration, passion and commitment through difficult times this season, and I am calling on all Blades fans yet again for their continued support.

"Our target remains the Premier League. I am determined to see the club grow stronger and our supporter base is crucial to that objective. I will do all I can if you will do the same."

More than 18,300 supporters can take advantage of the early renewal offer from Thursday 20th March, with fans saving up to £117 on individual match ticket prices.

Concession renewal prices start at £119 for 12 to under 16 year olds in all areas of the ground, with adult concessions paying £199 in the Frasers Property (Kop), rising to £219 in the Capital One Stand and Evolution Corner, and £239 in the Valad Stand.

Fans can also benefit from a host of additional extras including £300 savings on offers at the club superstore and leisure facilities, whilst also paying their season ticket in five monthly payments by direct debit.

The offers available to supporters include one month's free gym membership at fitness suites Impact, Gym Plus or at the new Copthorne Hotel, due to open late 2008, plus discounts on away Blade travel, club merchandise, BladesWorld, the Blades Birthday Lottery and Meadowhall restaurants.

Season tickets can be renewed at the discounted rate until 5pm on Monday 19th May, by post, online at www.sufc.co.uk, by fax on 0870 442 8709, by phone on 0871 222 1889 or in person at the Bramall Lane ticket office.

Price doubles for me, no longer being a dirty student :(

Still an improvement on the 9000 ST sales when I first started going to the lane a decade ago...

for christ's sake have a happy pill!

good prices them, I'm still a student technically.....oh yeah

great prices but i doubt ill afford one.................:cry2:

Good offer for the kids and i suppose by todays standards the full price of the season tickets is acceptable.

I still predict a drop of around 6k ST holders but hopefully we will come out of the traps quickly and coax a few back.

I've read that (ish) but can't see any mention of the half-price offer in case we get promoted. What happens if we pay 300 quid and then sneak up via the wonderful play-off system?

A lot of clubs haven't released ST details as of yet... and of those which have, we appear to have the longest cheaper renewal time.

Blades most expensive adult ST: £409
Blades cheapest adult ST: £299

Of the few I could find, here are some figures from elsewhere. The vastly expensive prices I assume are some kind of box...

Burnley:

Most expensive adult: £369
Cheapest adult: £315

Sunderland:

Most expensive adult: £825
Cheapest adult: £380

Bury:

Most expensive adult: £650
Cheapest adult: £260

Walsall:

Most expensive adult: £600
Cheapest adult: £219

Derby County:

Most expensive adult: £460
Cheapest adult: £270

Am I right in thinking, if they are offering tickets for the Kop then the re-building plans have been scrapped ?

£409!

They can sod off!

I will just pay as I go next season I think or get a half season ticket.

Am I right in thinking, if they are offering tickets for the Kop then the re-building plans have been scrapped ?

Wasn't the initial phase to redevelop the amenities?

The full re-development was sensibly based upon a continued high attendance/customer base, so i'd have thought the full extent of the development will swing on our crowd figures/success on the pitch next season.

Quick question, If you are renewing the season ticket for an under 12, does it matter if they turn 12 half way through the season?

It's a bargain, meaning I will get change from three hundred quid. Still, even if it had gone up quite a bit I would still have renewed. It's not like we are having to pay the rates that The Arse are charging.

gone down for me :D and i shall be renewing, just looked at the link SV posted for arsenal's STs....
Half Way Line Seats £4,750
Only available on 4 year contracts

Ouch!
even got the supporters signing contracts

Not too sure if i will be getting one yet due to being away at University next year.

Well the prices are set, so all the Blades can do is keep winning. Surely the naysayers won't need much more convincing to put their hands in their pockets than a good run-in could provide?

What else could they want?

if we get promoted im having my half price season ticket still :D

Definitley will be renewing, wish i didnt have a job where i worked shifts so i could get to more midweek matches though :(

For those who haven't recieved it yet... snippets of further info from the renewal leaflet (will scan it later if anyones bothered)...

Five Monthly Payment Details:

All you need to do is apply in person or over the phone, with your bank details to hand.

Five payments will be taken out of your nominated bank account on the same day each month.

Payments will be collected on the following dates:

15th April 2008
15th May 2008
15th June 2008
15th July 2008
15th August 2008

If your application is not approved by the 5th April, then two payments will be taken on the 15th May 2008. If your application is not approved by 5th May then 3 payments will be taken on the 15th June 2008.

The direct debit scheme is only available to supporters renewing their season tickets during the discounted period. Therefore the deadline date is 19th May 2008.

There is an administration fee of £10 per season ticket when applying to pay by direct debit. This is added to the total amount payable. This amount is then divided into five equal payments.

The prices are as follows:

Valad Stand (South Stand) - £409 - five payments of £83.80
Family Enclosures (John Street & Corner) - £409 - five payments of £83.80
Frasers (Kop) - £299 - five payments of £61.80

Unfortunately the direct debit payment plan will not be available on Junior Season tickets.

I'll scan it all in later :)
