Intrigued to read the SUFC official tweet just now.

"SUFC_tweets: Watching the Blades next season will be even cheaper..."

We renewed this year on the basis of fixed prices. So I wonder what - or for whom - it will be cheaper?

Me and Tunsy.

More shuffling of the deck chairs as the support drifts away. I'd guess the club have decided to accept the loss of around 10% to 20% of ST holders this season on top of the 40% already gone rather than grow some, get out of their apathy and be dynamic about trying to build the support back up before it's too late.

This season's predictable evidence that league position/performance does little to impact on attendances and that it's all about selling season tickets these days will no doubt fail to register.

On the plus side I save £300, the Lane atmosphere gets even better with fewer false Blades like me there and it shouldn't be too long until we can cut costs by closing one of the stands.

We're already one of the cheapest. If that's not good enough what would you do then?

Seriously, if litte over £300 for a season of football is too much, then the club's lost you already.

I don't see how anyone can complain at those prices. I'm particularly pleased that the junior rate is now up to 16, as we'd have had a massive hike for our Jack's ST next season. As it is, it's just a 400% increase. :) But at £40 is still a bargain.

I see McCabe is still hanging onto this little earner .........

Could've sworn this was being done away with

Glad they've seen sense on the juniors issue Norks, my vigorous campaign was not in vain;)

Agree with the general feeling that what we're watching now represents VFM at those prices.

Was it £169 for raulito this season? Would have struggled, not necessarily financially, but stick in the craw struggle, to go from £10 to £169 for a twelve year old!

From memory, it was £10 to £115 when he turned 13. Couple of years ago now.

That's one complaint I'd always agree with - payment lines where the supplier earns more money the more inefficient they get at serving you... Grrrrr :(

It's a bit like working in IT.

Get paid to make it. Make sure it breaks. Get paid again. :)

Im happy with those prices £279 for the season is quality. UTB!

Yeah, can't argue with a £20 discount.

My 6 year old lad is now getting into footy, so at £30 I can pick one up for him too, even though he'll prob only be able to make a handful of games. Just over 300 for the both of us is a bargain really, even for League One!

naah.. interesting conspiracy theory but it is incorrect IME.. it's just incompetence mate
i reckon young kids under 12 should get in for nothing.. get 'em hooked early.. like handing out small bags of smack.. snigger :D

More like Get paid to make it, Watch management change their mind about what they want, get paid again.

I have never made anything that intentionally broke. Plenty of things have broken unintentionally though...

nearly right Highbury.. watch marketing change their mind about what they want (usually because a rival has done something else) then watch management panic and change their mind..
but yeah.. nearly there

So can anyone tell me as a adult ,technophobe who has had shocking experiences of trying to buy on line from SUFC in the past and who is loathe to do it that way ,what reward I get for over 45 years of support with over 35 years as a season ticket holder what exactly is my reward and what exactly I will have to pay for the south stand next season.

Also what benefit does the club get from people having to buy on line to get the discount if as they say they will have people standing by to help those that struggle or "do not have access to the internet"

At least it's not the 'true blades are at the lane' message from yesteryear

Ermmm you pay the same as you did last season

The prices seem very reasonable to me. What were you hoping for - the club to pay you to turn up?

The same price as last year, or if you get someone to book online for you, or the same mode of communication you used to moan about it ( :) ) £20 cheaper.

It really can't be judged as a bad thing, surely? I'm delighted with this pricing.

And another thing, didn't we have to pay by 31 March last year to get the discount?
