Now, we all know it's nearly Season Ticket renewal campaign coming up next month.

I've set this up to canvass your opinion about what YOU would like to see with regards to the benefits and structure and price of the season ticket next term and beyond.

Now I know that an offer is still being under negotiation at BDTBL about all this, but what would you like to see that would give you NO OPTION but to buy 1?

Personally, it depends for me (I'll be renewing anyway btw), if we are Virtually Relegated before the end of March then the prices should come down and extra benefits be made available to ST holders, ie. Bigger discount in the club shop, affiliate high street shops to the Season card for discounts out there like Sports shops and Game shops. Also the promise that the price won't go up until we have at least made a challenge for the Top 2 of L1.
If we take it to the wire, I see no problem in keeping the prices the same with extra benefits. It depends what happens this month for me.

Like I said before, I will be renewing anyway, but others won't and will easily walk away in April if the prices are the same and we go down Embarrassingly in March/beginning of April.

What's your thoughts, seriously?

1. No increase in ST prices from last season.
2. Renewal discount open to anyone who lapsed last season as well as current ST holders.
3. Extra discount for anyone doing 15+ aways this season.
4. Free weekly draw for a place in a ST's box (ST holder + 1 friend).
5. Continuation of FREE ST's for under 13's (or whatever it is presently).

I'd like to see the junior season ticket age limit increased to 15. Why not offer a half season ticket for the start of the season, rather than just the end. And Saturday only season tickets.

I don't think the discounts and affiliate link ups are much of a selling point to many.

Game shop affiliates for the Kids mainly, the sports shops because not everyone wants to buy sports gear with a United Badge on it all the time

Saturday only ST would be a great idea but sadly I fear it would cost the club too much money. Not only would “live away” people like myself would jump on this so would a lot of others locally and hand pick the big games such as Chesterfield, MK Dons and Exeter to name a few.

people with one this year should get atleast 30% reduction on an already reduced priced one for league 1 football. nothing good will happen though, theyll go up. cheers mccabe.

£300 max in South Stand, £200 max on Kop and family stand - but as long as I pay less than Tuns and Raul I'll be chuffed.

A good football team and the seat next to Mic.

Free ST for all that had one this term seen as we haven't seen any football yet.....

More chance of a good football team. Steel and Swiss are fighting over that prime spot next to Mic.

So who gets the seat next to Ollie in the Matthew Harding Upper?

All I care about is current Season Ticket holders being rewarded for loyalty. So

1. Kop Season Ticket GBP 250 next season.

This is independent of the division we're in, i'll pay that for either division

I won't renew if my season ticket is more than GBP 300

Ha ha I'd be more than happy to sit next to Mic, but I think i'm too negative for him and i'd only bore him with my research on Blades Realty

- Interest free credit terms.
- If we go down, a big reduction in price.
- Renewal offers for those from the last 3 seasons.
- Promises to hold the price if we get promoted back to the Championship.
- A seat next to Mic

I agree with Mic.

(I've just had an idea for a t-shirt)

One thing I always hated was the trumpeting of no increases but really there was because the new price was always higher than the discount price that you paid the previous year.

Ha ha - massive games those 3...

Season ticket prices have to be reduced. Thne pigs are making a big hoo-ha about their full price adult tickets start from £298 - any coincidence that ours started at £299 last renewal?

At least £50 cheaper than last season would be a start. All discounts should be cumulative too - you get 10% discount for being an official supporter's club member, and also for being a Super Draw member and for your season ticket. Add 10% + 10% + 10% and you get a grand discount in the club shop of 10%. Make it cumulative, to a maximum of, say, 30%.

Free Mickey Mouse cup admission for season ticket holders please, at least for the first game when we can watch the reserves get knocked out by Tideswell Dinner Ladies.

Free pre-season friendly for season ticket holders, if only so we can properly see who will will be spectacularly disappointed by before the first match of the season.

Free or at least very cheap kids season ticket with every adult one bought if you want one.

And while we're paying our money can we please have a clean ground that we've paid to sit in?

250 renewal kop 275 new
300 renewal south stand 350 new
kids season ticket with adult - £75
kids season ticket no adult £99
each adult season ticket allows them to bring an another adult for £10 for standard games. £15 for Cat A games, you know rotherham, chesterfield etc;

obviously the club is not going to listen to any suggestion and the prices will rise, unfortunately with the fall of Sheff Utd to follow

1) Rip up the ST rule book and start with a blank piece of paper
2) Accept the principal that more fans paying less is better than less fans paying more. 20,000 fans at £149 a ST is better than 10,000 at £299. In fact I would argue for the long term good of the club even 15,000 fans is better at £149.
3) Realise the club is danger of losing thousands of fans for good if we don't do something radical with ST prices
4) Realise that once you lose a ST holder you are unlikely to get them to pay on the day. ST sales decide attendances which drive club ambitions, drive success, entice players to sign, reflect the image of the club etc
5) The early ST discounts should not be limited to existing ST holders - they should be open to everyone. It's small minded and cutting of your nose for those that think otherwise.
6) Free for kids
7) No silly early deadlines. Let the dust settle on a terrible season and then push the sales don't try and flog them when everyone's in the midst of despair.
8) Surprise us United. Make it an incredible offer. Make it the most exciting ST offer, or surprising offer ever introduced by a football club - break the mold. Make it so it's just too tempting to resist.
9) Really use the amazing database you have of existing and potential customers. I had a ST for over 30 years till this season, am in Blades Revival and a shareholder and I have not had a single phone call during the season to offer me a deal - maybe the staff are all too busy with the queues in the ticket office.

Don't

1) Freeze prices or shave a tenner or even £50 off - it won't make a difference
2) Make a big deal of offering 10% off in the club in shop - it won't make a difference
3) Don't think that phased payments will win the day - every little helps and we should do it - but it won't make a massive difference
4) Don't take the fans for granted like last season. The natives are pissed off in fact worse than that they just don't care any more, not part timers but long standing loyal fans. It's last chance saloon on STs. It's very easy to lose 5,000 ST holders but far harder to win them back.
5) Don't let Mic pay less than me - he's being silly.

jeebus tuns, that is totally and utterly the best set of ideas ive seen so far, ive said in a few threads previous, slash prices, get FAR more in, make at least some of the ticket price loss back from sundry other sales, eg programmes, food, blades shop etc.
if they would cut ST prices as low as you suggest, id guess 20,000 ST sales at least meaning only need 13,000 on the day sales or junior ST holders for a full house, on a regular basis, better atmosphere, buck up players AND for mr McCabe et al a much more viable sale if buyers are seeing 25,000 EVERY game.
Everyones a winner.
tho i fear other threads are much more likely ie: increased prices or frozen or worse still a very minor reduction, to me if SUFC wants to rebuild, first thing is build bridges with the fans and knocking 76pence off ST price just wont cut it.

Awesome prose Tunsy lad. Agree with every word apart from it would be nice on back of forking out £400 odd last Spring to just pay £10 less than you for my devoted support of the management and players this term.

Me and mine are fairly frequent attendees of games at BDTBL, and we all used to be ST holders.

We've never had any communication from the powers that be at the Lane to encourage us to buy a ST.

"No offers, full price, come back if you feel like it".

.... not very attractive, so we attend when we want or feel like it.

We often say to ourselves, "do you fancy going this weekend, or tomorrow night", and often say yes, but then we try to get tickets via the phone, and just give up.

Sometimes we just go to watch Lincoln City, instead.

Now hows about some "special offers" for the likes of me and mine, and THOUSANDS like us?
