I know everyone enjoys a good thirty yard stunner but the sheer number of tap ins in that compilation is far more impressive to me.

On that montage alone, its clear our best strikers this season were Clarke, Sharp and McGoldrick, not in any particular order, and thats fitting to say Clarke was away for 6months. He played such a role in the first 6months and that video shows it.

I wish the "gerritintot'boxquicker" bloke who sits next to me would appreciate that! As I see it when our centre backs are overlapping, we have to keep possession to avoid cheap break away goals, and that's why our approach play sometimes appears a bit ponderous.

Some crackers in there. Id forgotten so many of them, Norwood at Brentford, Billy’s second v Wigan.

Think my summary is :

Bloody hell Billy and McG have been absolutely lethal.

My favourite part of the montages of this season have been realising just how many outfield players scored for us.
The entire first team (excluding Henderson of course) scored:
Basham - Egan - O’Connell
Baldock - Norwood - Fleck - Stevens
Duffy
McGoldrick - Sharp

As well as ‘backups’:
Stearman
Freeman
Dowell
Hogan
Madine

The only ones i can think of (and happy to be corrected) that haven’t are:
Cranie
Coutts
Lundstram
Johnson
Washington

Spine-tingling stuff. So many good goals, those tap-ins are so satisfying because they show how good the football must have been to get to that position.

M favourite moment on there? Chris Basham at Leeds. Not the goal, but the grim determination of his celebration.
