Wilder is a liability, a spent force and is clinging on for dear life through desperation and obsession. The ever growing younger generation of managers being successful at other clubs is a testament to this. Time to call it a day!
Can we ban this guy please Foxy. The joke is getting old.

In my opinion we shouldn’t have got rid of Hecky, he is still only 48 and got promotion and a FA Cup semi final, lost 2 of our best players and the board was wondering why we were struggling in the Premier League.

No parachutes….

Wilder goes for me sooner rather than after the season.

A proper clear out.

Why not start now with the manager?
Sadly I CANNOT see Wilder going.
They would NOT sell Zatterstrom and sign Wilder's journeymen over 30's as they have if Wilder was going any time soon.
They are as clueless as Wilder is with young players or spending money.
They have zero clue as to who to appoint as manager or even what to look for.

Said it before and today again before it was removed.
The next time we are up for sale will be us in Admin when COH walk away after wasting 'enough' funds on the disaster Wilder on the insistence of a moronic press and fan base who 'thinks' he is not the disaster he is.
The WORST manager in SUFC history.

I fear we’ve got the Boro/Watford version of Wilder now.

Unfortunately I can only see us finishing lower midtable next season with the football being a lot worse to watch.

Totally outplayed Coventry first half -unlucky not to go in ahead.

2nd half pretty even match.

Overall we played well - very unlucky not to get a point.

After Selles- Wilders task was to keep us up - he's done that.

The negativity you show for Wilder is deep rooted. The bloke has done an exceptional job - on next years small budget literally no one will do a better job, the
change this year killed us, surely to God we don't do that again.

Agreed regards clear outs… but let’s get this season over with. Start planning life after Wilder now, and put it into effect over the close season. If we opt for a head coach.. ACTUALLY HIRE STAFF TO WORK WITH HIM.

Wilders going nowhere - the owner said that tonight in the fan zone- they have learnt from their biggest mistake and will not repeat again. THANK THE LORD.

Probably the worst post I've read this year.

We scored 13 goals in 4 home games playing 2 up top and being in the front foot but we’ve reverted to that fkg 4231 leaving Bamford isolated again . Feel sorry for Cannon the lad finally finds some confidence & bangs a few in & back out in the cold again .. sorry negative tactics & defending cost us getting something tonight , they were nothing special ⚔️

We just outplayed top of the league.

Had very good shouts for 2 penalties that our old friend VAR would have probably given and their winner was a flukey deflected cross.

We’re competitive again.

If we added the 6 fixtures that Sellés / The Board / Bord tossed off to those still to play, we’d be able to get enough points under Wilder to make top 6.

We need an experienced manager who knows the players to get the best from them and to offload those that are no good, but at the same time work with those we can’t offload. What we don’t need is wasting all summer while a new guys comes in and gives everyone a clean slate.

No better man than Wilder for that. Got to recognise we were going down under the last bloke so to have even been chasing the play offs is a significant turnaround.

Problem is you can only pick 11.

Brooks and O’Hare have been our better players this season and whilst he’s been inconsistent, Hamer is regarded as one of the best in the division. Bamford has to play. So who do you obviously drop for Cannon? He can hardly claim he deserves to start over O’Hare or Brooks.

We played well. With a different ref and a bit of fortune we’d have won by a couple of goals.

Appoint Travis Binnion with Wilder as either director of football or in an advisory role
Seriously?

We are coming into prime Wilder territory yet you’d employ a guy in his first job who has spent most of his time in your football.

Have you seen how Ramsay at West Brom just faired?

This needs cool heads, not some maverick dipping their toes in.

We need to quickly undo the folly of the summer and let Wilder build from there. In doing so we need to relieve the squad of overinflated wages that fail to contribute.

Loans back (6) - Bindon, Hjelde, Hoever, Phillips, Soumaré, Ogbene

Out of contract (5) - Davies, Mee,
Riedewald, Davies, Ings

In contract (31) - Cooper, Grbic, Faxon, Tanganga, McGunness, Zatterstrom, Baptiste, Burrows, McCallum, Norrington-Davies, Seriki, Shackleton, Curtis,
Sachdev, Polendakov, Peck, Hamer, Brooks, Arblaster, Rothwell, Matos, Hampson, Chong, O’Hare, Nwachukwu, Ukaki, Marsh, Campbell, Cannon, Bamford, Oné

I’d say all the loans go back and don’t return and all the out of contract players leave except Riedewald.

Then you already have a squad of about 32. It will need trimming. Some loans out, some perms, to make way for proper first XI difference makers on loan.

It will then depend on which players you can’t keep as offers come in. Prime candidates are Hamer, Peck, Seriki, Brooks for instance though I’d tell Everton to get stuffed at every opportunity.

Then those you perhaps don’t really rate as first teamers who’d be better offloaded: Grbic, McGuinness, Zatterstrom, Baptiste, Norrington-Davies, Shackleton, Polendakov, Matos, Chong, Nwachukwu, Ukaki.

That would leave something like:
G: Cooper, Faxon
DR: Seriki, Sachdev, Curtis
DL: Burrows, McCallum
CB: Tanganga
CM: Peck, Riedewald, Arblaster, Rothwell, Hampson
AM: Brooks, O’Hare, Hamer, Marsh
CF: Bamford, Campbell, Cannon, Oné

You then need to sign or loan a first choice centre back, probably one more central midfielder and an attacking midfield or two and potentially more experience at right back and let one or two of the others on loan.

You might need to hold onto one or two of those you don’t see as first choices for cover or dip into the free market.

Work to be done but it isn’t starting from scratch. Challenge will be to offload players and of course replace those you lose reluctantly.

Because the owners only really understand rounders & netball so would probably replace him with a barman from Benidorm (recommended by chat GPT) to lead us into league 2.

Some foreign countries do have multi sport clubs. I would happily watch a Blades netball team. Should ideally replace (runs for cover) the women's football team.

Our virgin owners made the initial mistake and then Selles (now doing a similar job in Spain) wrecked our season in the first 10 games.

Wilder has, since his return, turned it around and like last night got us playing good football again.

We can only speculate what would have been if Wilder hadn’t been ejected after the playoff off final. We may have even been where Coventry are now.

Instead we took 2 steps back and since Wilder returned have taken 1 step forward. We now need to release the likes of Davies x 2, Shackleton and Ings to name just a few and allow Chris to rebuild for a real push next season.

We should be looking at an upgrade of Campbell.

Only ever has a maximum of 60 minutes in him and looks lethargic when he comes on as sub.

Haven’t a clue who would be available in the Summer to replace him.

100% with zero parachute money & the need to ‘wheel & deal’ and rebuild but to also remain competitive - Wilder is the man we need.

I’d give Wilder a new deal get Sharp in coaching and let them get on with it. The AI Recruitment screwed it,
I’m struggling to think of even one sensible reason to bring in Sharp, who has no coaching experience, if we really want to progress as a club. I think McSheffrey and Ramos have been good appointments, we are certainly a much better watch than last season and scoring more goals.

I would be concentrating on the recruitment department for any major overhaul.

Because he’s proven in the past that he can build a Championship team greater than the sum of its parts, without parachute payments. He may not do it again, but the list of managers who have achieved automatic promotion from the Championship without that financial boost is small.

United have shown they don’t have, and seem unwilling to build, the infrastructure required to appoint someone who isn’t extremely hands-on across all aspects of running the club outside the academy. Wanting something to change and improve is not the same as actually doing it.

McGuinness - would need to take a big loss
Tanganga - would need to take a big loss
Mee - retiring
Chong - would need to take a big loss
Davies - out of contract
Shackleton - out of contract
Soumare - loan
Ings - out of contract
Ogbene - loan
Cannon - would need to take a big loss

Every penny spent moving big fee/big earning players out, is money that can't go elsewhere. The rest of the list is bizarre, they are all leaving regardless. As is Bindon, Phillips etc.

The main issue for the summer is who leaves who we may want to stay - Oné, Peck, Burrows, Seriki, Brooks, Campbell, Riedewald, Hamer, O'Hare are all either players towards the end of their deals we may want to cash in on, out of contract but we'd like to keep them or players that will potentially be sold because PL clubs want them/they want to leave/we need the money.

The only 1st teamsquadplayers I think are 100% certain to be here next season are Cooper, McCallum, Arblaster and Rothwell

Jees, nurse taken the crayons off this one too please!

And we thought Pig fans were bad?!?!

5th March is the date to look out for which is the vote for next season whether the playoffs are extended to 8th place (if that goes ahead) I think we will have enough under Wilder to be a top 8 side it’s whether we can do anything in the playoffs after a 40 odd game season with cup matches to actually go up but a season like this would be more promising in finishing up there
