Season destroyer

A result like that.

Potentially.

Normally I'd probably say such a comment was premature and maybe even knee jerk but I've got tbh and say I've felt all week that this game would be absolutely pivotal.

Just gut feeling nothing more.

It could be, but then again you've got, pound for pound IMO, one of the best manager's in the country. If I were a Blade obviously I'd be very disappointed tonight, but I'd also have huge faith in Chris Wilder to ensure it doesn't halt the amazing momentum you've built for over 2 years now.

Switch to Nigel Clough defensive mode then expect to concede goals.

If it does destroy our season it could destroy our club, could see players sold too old and league one in 18 months.

It's happened before it could happen again.

Ridiculous. Yes I'm upset, I would be delighted to be proved wrong, really feels like it.
Seriously, just chill.

I really don't get the substitutions. Dowell was looking good, causing problems, shot leading to goal, good assist. Madine putting himself about and worrying defenders. Billy being Billy and scoring goals. Why change it? No dig at Washington, but what does he bring to the the game at that point?

FFS I applaud all the glass half full “we’ll go again” posts but come on that was an absolute travesty and we simply can’t perform like that and hope to go up

It’s a 46 match season, promoted teams are going to throw points away. But on the flip side pick up points from matches they should lose.

When i want meltdarn, I want full MELTDARN :D:eek::D

Feels like it right now.

Hate being dramatic but with how tight it is at the top.. results like that can turn into a shit run or hopefully we can put it behind us and kick on again

I’d have taken a point before the game but obviously how it’s came about is absolutely gutting

We need to stop putting an extra defender on, stop attacking then go negative and allow opposition to attack us!! Wilder KEEPS making these substitutions when we're on top then we concede!!! Just keep steam rolling them!!!

EXACTLY. How many times this season (and last) have we said the same thing? At some stage the Wilder lovers have got to accept that this is his achilles heel and he has to accept that it is his main weakness. He is not reading the game, he's just operating from the standard accepted practice of "what you do when you are ahead".

Believe it or not, that last 10 mins could be the making of us for the remainder of the season

Much as I love and respect your opinion, I have never before wanted to say to you so much, Fuck off. That's screwed us.

That’s it. Anyone who wants to disagree, watch when we lose to PulisBall on Wednesday. The season is over.

The thing is, this isn’t the Premier League, Liverpool draw at West Ham and it’s a bad result because Man City can easily go on a 10 match winning run.

Leeds, Norwich, West Brom and Boro are decent Championship teams but they will drop daft points like we did tonight. Still plenty more twists and turns to come this season.

Definitely buying a season ticket for next season then, given we'll surely fold as a club the season after.

It’s not just “a point away from home” though is it. There’s overreacting and there’s totally ignoring the fact that that was a bloody shambolic result in the context of the game.
Bollocks to “we’d have taken a point “ the game was dead, stuffed, wrapped in foil and roasting in the oven. To allow them back in was not the performance of a potential premiership side and we need to wake up. Subbing for the sake of it at 3-0 is ridiculous. Billy off? fair enough but let the team that has dominated, see it out.

we won't get automatics anyway with points we have given away just have to look forward to losing in play offs

But in the prem title race there are really only 2 teams. Here there are 5. Not all are going to fuck up 3-0 wins between now and the end of the season

Or is the result tonight the perfect motivation?
3 of Villa’s players combined probably earn more than our entire first XI combined.
Yes we threw away a lead, but we earnt that lead for 70 minutes.
Drill that into the players; win a game and finish it, don’t get complacent.

But they will drop points and against teams they should beat. It’s disappointing at the moment but we’ll get over it. We’re still very much in the promotion race, tonight’s draw hasn’t changed that.

Wait for Wednesday’s bad result.

What a load of bollocks, it’s a point away from home and you’ve got us losing half the team as a result.

Exactly.

Kev, just give the Prince your shares and the ground and walk away. Our legal eagle has spoken. Enjoy your retirement. It's over.

Boro is absolutely huge now. Lose that following on from this debacle and the confidence will be shot to pieces.

That felt like something really significant. It was definitely something that can totally derail a season. A 3-0 win and we go in the dressing room thinking we are good enough to win anywhere. 3-3 and we go in doubting our ability to get wins in games when we are clearly the better side .

You can't dress that up. It was a chance to finally go away from home and get a victory against a fancied side. With Leeds and West Brom coming up it would have been huge mentally.
