Scunthorpe/Bolton Allocations

They will both sell out those allocations. I hope the Bolton one is top tier and into the corner only though, so that we can fill the bottom tier. That's what it sounds like to be honest judging by the number allocated. This could quite easily be a 30,000 attendance

No chance. Will be lower and upper for them. We've not announced using lower tier for any more games. First I can see that happening is Charlton on 28th March.

Yeah but these minnows love visiting a big club

There are good reasons why both Bolton and Scunthorpe will bring a good following.

As already been said Bolton should bring a good following because many of their fans won't have been to Bramall Lane before.

Also Scunnie should bring a lot because by some quirk of the fixtures our game is their LAST local away game of the season. After our game all their away games are down south.

Upper tier corner is closed for Millwall game according to sufc.co.uk
This makes sense as if the clowns want to play silly buggers inside the ground on their 'flag day' they'll have to committ to a kamikaze dive off the upper tier .
It is annoying though that we have to go to these measures to cater for these twats.

2,292 tickets sold at Scunnie is really impressive.

That's nearly 50% of their home support. It's like us selling 9,000 tickets for an away game at Scunthorpe.
If this match was at Scunny and the tickets were available, I reckon we could sell 9000 at the moment!

It's Scunnies last chance of the season to take a big following anywhere.

Their fans have said it's typical that they are going for promotion and would normally take impressive (by their standards) followings away because there are so many Northern and Midlands teams in league 1

But after playing us their away games are Bristol R, Charlton Tues, Gillingham, Oxford, Millwall, MK Dons and Swindon.

All Southern terms with plenty of travel.
However you would expect them to take good numbers to MK Dons.

I've just been snooping around wondering how many tickets Scunthopre have sold to-date - 2,150 from an allocation of 2,292 - http://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/...-united-away-tickets-now-on-sale-3511376.aspx

However, Bolton have been given an initial allocation of 4,393 - http://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/article/...ted-ticket-information-confirmed-3553298.aspx

Does the away team request an initial allocation or do we offer it?
Why have Bolton got more? Is that due to fanbase?

Also, I thought we were having the lower tier? The Bolton allocation suggests not.
Are we charging bolton 28 quid and keeping them outside so they miss the first 10 mins due to not having enough turnstyle operators?
