The sit back, soak up the pressure style seems to work with great success for Athletico Madrid.
I remember the Arsenal- Athleti game in the Europa Cup semi final.

Arsenal dominated both legs, had loads of attacks but didn’t really look like scoring, lots of goal mouth scrambles but nothing clear cut.
Whereas Athleti didn’t have many attacks but were deadly and seemed to have a casual confidence they could win 1-0

Who’d have thought it? Phil Parkinson modelling his team on Athletico Madrid ha.

Oh god ok haha... for the most part I don’t understand the tactic... saying come and have a go at us whilst we wait for any scraps isn’t the way l (personally) like to see the game played. Hats off to Diego and his Ath Madrid team though haha

I just don't get the pursuit of Hogan - if that's who we're after. If reports on his injury are to be believed (and its not a smokescreen for him just being excluded to force him out) then he's going to need another month minimum or so to get match fit since it appears he didn't play any pre-season either.

Kean Bryan who wasn't injured when we signed him and presumably did some form of pre-season has had to do another pre-season and not ready for the first team for 4-6 weeks.

But Chris knows him from non league, so we just have to accept it.

Let's hope he can make a big impact in the 15 games he plays.

But could we,if we choose a loan to buy in Jan.

I just prefer to avoid this or any other senario with Hogan.
Could we have him on appro?

When I was a kid some shops in our village used to let you take goods without paying for them to try them out and if you didn’t like them you could bring them back, no obligation. It was known as “appro”.

I think this would be a great idea!;)

Doesn’t it depend if it’s an agreement to buy like Norwood or with a view to buy which means we have a choice. Straight loan probably best unless of course he’s fantastic and we miss the bus to buy him
