yeah i was up there in august and they knew of him. They said neither had a chance under Strachan as he was clueless... So maybe now he's gone they have a chance

All the locals in my office have followed his career with a bit of interest as he's local.

No Scotland fan I know would really be bothered about likes of Fleck and Coutts being called up for the national squad though as they all complain about the bias of Strachan towards English championship players rather than people doing well in the SPL (Shinnie the example they use every time in my office!).

Yep in general they're not having that. To be honest the bottom few in SPL wouldn't be a cut above most League 2 teams I wouldn't think. If the likes of Coutts and Fleck got called up though most I know here would see them as another Chris Martin/Barry Bannan i.e overrated cause they're playing in England.

I can see Fleck definitely being called up, but as for Coutts, his age might be a bit of a problem. The new manager will probably be looking to build for the future therefore calling up an uncapped player who will be 31/32 by the time Euro 2020 comes around doesn't really fit into that.
