It's just seething Celtic fans. Scapegoated like Lundstram when the rest of the team is in fact shite.

Second highest rating on the BBC report so fuck knows.

They're watching Scotland. They could have Mbappe up front and still get hammered by Uzbekistan reserves.

I had to stop watching them because I though my eyes were going to start bleeding.

Cheers Roy.

2nd highest rating despite the presumable swathe of Celtic fans giving him an automatic 1/10 for being a ‘hun’

I do have concerns about McBurnie. Every 4 or 5 games he'll play like a man possessed for 90 minutes, putting himself about, winning headers at both ends, dropping deep, receiving the ball linking up & I think - there's definitely a player in there.
But then the next time I see him play he will look languid and weak and ineffective.

Whether he's playing good, or bad he rarely looks like someone who is going to score. For a striker, he really struggles with kicking the ball cleanly.
I knew he'd miss the penalty at Burnley for instance. Remember that finish at home to West Ham?

He's young, so there's still time - but what are the outstanding attributes that are going to propel him into a 12+ goal striker in the PL? He's sort of a poor man's Mitrovic and/or (maybe more accurate) Crouch rolled into one.

He seems a good lad and £20m doesn't buy you a finished article at this level and I understand we don't give him great service, but I do think he should be making more opportunities for himself, either through getting on the end of more crosses (we do put loads in relative to the division) or by just making a yard for himself with the ball and shooting.
The crosses thing is interesting. Given that's what we base our entire game upon, you do wonder what they're doing in training. A lot hit the first man, but why not change it? The Wolves lads put in these lovely hanging clipped crosses to the back stick. They don't all come off, but Jiminez knows instantly where they're going and when he does get there he can't miss. Maybe out lads can't execute that, but there must be something they can do?

Sometimes I get the impression (maybe influenced slightly by his social media) that he's a player going through the motions. Happy being a young millionaire and lacking ambition to be much more.

“McBurnie just constantly runs as if hes got sore knees”

“I’d take Iwelumo over that fanny McBurnie. A total gimp of a footballer”

“Oli McBurnie is absolutely utter rancid decayed horse shit.”

Had to pick these Pearlers out. Really made me chuckle 😅

I think 'languid' about sums him up.

On the crosses issue, perhaps it's because we recycle the ball 16 times in a triangle before we sling it in, providing the opposition with ample time to get positioned to defend it. I know it's all about creating 'quality chances' etc, but it ain't really working is it.

We need to change it up and break with pace more. A couple of glimpses that Burke is useful for that, hitting the channel, getting on the end of it, get defenders backing off into the box. The problem arises when no midfielders are busting a gut to get up and support the attack (other than JL vs Leeds) because we're playing a flat 3.

IF we stay up, I think McBurnie will eventually leave us and go back to the Championship. He's not good enough for this level and we completely overspent on him too.

The fact he can't get in the team when we literally have no goalscorers on our books pre Brewster just shows this.

More worried about Fleck. Six subs could have been used last night, but Clarke didn't think he would be better than a knackered McGinn and McGregor in Extra Time. Can't be making much of an impression in training.

he’ll be disappointing us all in the Championship next season I fear.

McB can still develop yet but I would particularly like to see him get a better shot on, even I can do this.
Scotland as a nation has been getting more and more fevered in the time I've been going there and it's anything English that sets them off (not all of them). They have invented this history about how they were enslaved and colonised by the evil English when the reality is the union was their idea and they were very much partners in crime in the empire. I'm ethnically 'significantly' Scottish so I can what I say what I like about them.

I don't think they like him very much

My Scottish fanatic fan friend always says, they're fantastic footballers, the Scottish national side, right up until the moment they pull that shirt on and remember who they're representing. That's when it all goes wrong.

Cheers Roy. Always interesting to see what other fans think of our players.

I'm still struggling to remember if I've ever seen anyone walk a dug or take it for a pish 🤔

The pressure on them is enormous. The Scottish National Team have underperformed for years. I can't imagine playing for Scotland is much fun.

He was nowhere near their worst player, he won his headers and laid the ball off - all that could be expected as the service to the forwards was woeful.
I can’t remember them having a cross into the box, they are that bad.
He gets hammered because of his previous comments, he should probably sack them off tbh.
They sound remarkably like us.

For me McBernie can play as bad as he likes as long as he SCORES GOALS ,He's not there to make chances for others, he's there to finish them ..
