Wolves at home was only due to us having 10 men to be fair but I do agree, Brooks gives us the edge. He's the one who can offer us something different, come back into midfield to overload the midfield (would be even better now with Evans playing deeper I think) and then push up and support Clarke. Brilliant footballer.
Have you been reqding too much of the Wolves message boards, Danny?

How did Wolves end up with ten men? After they spent the first quarter of an hour on the backfoot Coady brought down the division’s leading scorer down when through on goal.

No reason to suggest we wouldn’t have won regardless. It would have been 1-0 and 11 v 11.

Brooks was on fire that week and backed it up vs Leeds also.

We still would have won. They are not unbeatable, as Forest, a side well below us, have shown.

I see John Rudd in their hoal is less cocky in the build up. Very easy to give it the big ‘I am’ when you’re sat behind 50m of financial doping amongst the outfield players!

Hope we stuff em!

Play Sharp and he will score goals. It's as simple as that.

He's scored 8 goals this season which is a lot more than some strikers in this division who have moved for millions of pounds.

Some of the criticism of the guy has been disgusting. He's a club legend in my eyes and deserves some respect.

8 in the league plus 1 in the cup,.

9 goals from 23 games is a pretty shit hot strike rate, for a washed up player who can't do it in the 'modern' championship,

There’s no way to suggest we would’ve won with 11 v 11. We were on the back foot in the second half facing 10 never mind 11.

Maybe we would’ve won, but let’s not forget they missed a penalty too. No guarantees either way.

I’m taking nothing away from the start and the result, and it’s down to our play that Coady got sent off, but even as a 90 minute performance it wasn’t one of our best this season.

It really wasn’t. We were dominant when they had eleven on the pitch. They went down to ten because we were all over them. It’s rather like saying a boxer only won easily on points because he broke his opponent’s nose in the first round.

I don’t accept this ‘not getting the service’ idea. It’s a two way street. Strikers have to make intelligent runs and show for the ball to enable themselves to get good service. Sharp is static far too often. The fact that he’s out of the team rather speaks for itself. It’s because of poor performances, not alien abduction.

The suggestion that he’s entitled to play as a result of what he did last season is Bladey Claptrap.

He’s entitled to play because we can’t score goals at home, he can score goals. It has nothing to do with Bladey Claptrap.

9 in 23. Full season, that would make 18. Proves he is good enough. It is not a question of if he is good enough, just if there is a better option.
